Edinburgh 2016

but anyone trying to sign riders at the moment knows very well where the really big money is being offered.

To Al Stewart, and anyone who's "liked" this post.

What exactly is your issue with this?

Without specifying, it could be interpreted as being ... jealous, feeling the heat, defeatist. All of the above.

Or it could just be a statement of fact no one has stated an issue this was just a repost to the thought that Edinburgh were buying titles. No need to be so paranoid ;-)

Paranoid?

Of course I'm paranoid, I'm a Weegie! ;)

Some Embra folk can't make statements, they just have veiled digs.

They don't have an issue it was just a point being made. We have seen Glasgow promotions come in and do this before and it might win a few pairs trophies but it usually ends in tears. The year you won was won by riders improving not largesse with the cash.

well it was going to happen eventually.

Will go down as a legend and probably one of the best to put on blue & gold race jacket. He has been a pleasure to watch over the past 5 years and hopefully you do well on the continent and show them what you can do. :t:

Now who replaces Cookie?......maybe Nick Nick, or Mr Worrall......or maybe even Aaron

You never know think Masters will step up to the plate solves part off the problem of points trimming due to the averages.

I agree that Cookie will be a loss to the PL. He is a racer who is determined and ambitious. At PL level we like to think of ourselves as an autonomous league where we build teams and own riders. However, for riders who have the talent and determination to get to the top, PL is (and should remain) a necessary training ground and stepping stone towards their goal. We will probably see Craig (and similar riders) in the PL again in a few years, after they have 'peaked' and are on the way down (no-one stays at the top forever - well, except for The Californian!)

Is anyone surprised really, cannot make a name for himself riding on the continent while riding Premier League.

Personally I think it has done Edinburgh a massive favour, they can now go with;

Masters

Wolbert

Sedgmen

Riss

Clegg

3 pointer

And still have 5.86 left over for their last rider.

Maybe another Riss joining the club.

What would Tabaka come back on average wise?

6.00 i believe, personally wouldn't take the risk on him though. Not rode over here for 2 years and don't think he could improve on that IMO.

But if another team want to take him on this year and lets say for example his average drops a bit for 2017 you never know. ;)
