GASBLOKE
Not been about for a while, just catching up. Danno Verge, please NO NO NO, or are we using him as a bike pusher. He does NOT have the ability to go further, another Niall, good kids but both think they are miles better than they really are. Some strange arguments over what a Cat 1,2,3 or 4 is and where BWD stands in all that. Best sit tight on that one. Massive shame about Kelsey, if its true !!, although it must be tough for the poor kid. IF the National League is NOT professional, why would Ben want to travel from Manchester for a home meeting, Richard from Exeter etc. If its not professional, where does the £'s go each week, say £8K per week/ 20 home meets = £160K plus what the sponsors put in. So good we have kept Georgie, he has the ability to be a top National League star, we must keep Richard and Daniel. Ayers would have been a good signing. Will have a spare ticket for Warsaw if anybody is interested.
TurnTwo
£8k per week??
catinthehat
interesting in the £8k whats that a week for keepeing the heating on and a roof over the track or is that what the elite league club lost per week?
sussex bulldog
I am assuming that £8,000 per week is 666 @ £12 entrance fees ? I am pretty sure that Eastbourne Speedway would not expect use of the stadium and staff rent free. Also like any business there are a lot of expenses such as VAT, electricity, bank charges, printing, advertising, telephone, etc. Need I go on ? At the very least the riders are paid mileage allowance and the referee is paid plus first aid ambulance.

Alex2000
Maybe ben morley is eastbourne bound I hope so but how many clashes would he have? But we would have a choice of guests I suppose
TurnTwo
Why would you have Morley he rides Saturday night pl same as Eastbourne nl something all fans hate riders missing just like el days
Islander15
Hopwood might start at number 1.

gee jay
no disrespect to morley , but if the points limit is high enough to have him in the side i'd rather we had bwd back.
steven101
On there post it says hopwood wantsnto make the step up and challenge between the other riders for the no.1 spot, does this suggest he wont be our no.1?
Alex2000
If how I've read it they are suggesting another person for number 1 the points will have to be so high...
catinthehat
Seems like a very strong team at the moment if Ben is not number one who is it going to be, Spiller has exams so he cant play, Dugard is ruled out as he has not got a team place, Strudwich says he has high standards and ready for 2016 but he is not a number 8 let alone a number 1, Nothing from Richard, BWD says on facebook he has news, fingres crossed he is going to a PL, GW is signed so its all up in the air at the moment. Think i can feel another good season going to happen, Maybe its Nathan Greeves? as he would fit with 38 points.
Argos
Joe Jacobs 8.
Alex2000
What about Mitch Godden? Has he ridden speedway in league before he was practising last year and is a grass tracker. Looks decent. He's probably a past rider that I just don't know about and look stupid saying that. Joe Jacobs would be good
ruckerroo
i know nothing about this years team but last year jacobs was muted to be replacing spiller after daniel attained his average, i imagine it wasnt high enough for that too occur. catinthehat
Well done to IT First for sponsoring the club again, so important for the team and fans to know that they have the backing of a professional company that is at the top of their game. Sponsoring local clubs and Brighton Hove Albion along with Kids clubs and charity events. A big thank you to them and I will wear my Eastbourne IT First jacket with pride this year, Just need the track shop to get me one for my other half and the kids this year lol.
