Eastbourne 2016

I have also seen that Lewis Bridger also done a promo video filmed at Eastbourne, but i guess its keep quite to stop supporters like ourself from seeing whats going on so that the advert looks better, also they dont have to pay for extras standing around the stadium.

oh well at least they have all ridden just waiting for Eastbourne to run a match again, but just looked at the forecast and the weather is ok for Saturday and rain for friday but not a lot by the looks of things, saying that we didnt have that much rain here friday and none on Saturday but it was off?

[/quote

I am 4 miles from the track and it rained on and off for nearly 24 hours Friday. stopped at 7.00 in the evening and cleared up over night. I was optimistic and watching the hourly forecast which said rain at 10.00 through 12.00 Saturday and again at 2.00. In the event we had one rather sharp shower at 12.30 and then it started again at 2.00 which must have put the tin hat on it because it was called off at 2.24. I had been watching it for 24 hours because I am getting with-drawl symptoms with no Speedway. Next weekend is looking a little better but there is still rain forecast for Friday plus Saturday Afternoon so its a question of fingers crossed.

I read that first time round, Cat, as Bridger doing a porno video at Eastbourne. I knew a few things went on behind the pits and in the trees back in the 70's and 80's, and there was you posting earlier about being in the bar and dancing around in just an Adam Ellis T-shirt... but Phew, it wasn't as I had first seen it.

As you say, probably didn't want oiks like us messing up the BT promo ad. An empty stadium probably looks better than one with a scattered few on the terraces.

Made me laugh someone put a survey up and said about covering tracks with covers? how many clubs have got the money to do such a thing and do they every work? i remember years ago they used to have them in Denmark at Vojens and where the overlap was on the sheet were like little rivers and then the tracks cut up on water mark where it become soft and then that made the track unraceable.

So covers didnt work or they would have continued with them around the world.

You'd think in 2016 someone would be able to make a big enough sheet of plastic to cover a speedway track. Big sheet(s) of tarpaulin that start outside the safety fence and finish someway onto the centre green, plenty of overlap between sheets so no water goes through. The beauty of the sheets hanging over the fence is that they make a nice ramp for the water to run off of into the centre green.

Everyone seems awfully quiet.. Let's have a pre match prediction I reckon 53-37 home win for the eagles then an away win 44-46 to the eagles sending them through to the next round Alex what's your verdict you seem to be a bit out of the loop you back at school lol?

Not really being an Eastbourne fan but have to say its nice to see your pants have been pulled down by Kent so far this season and looking at the team changes you have made you are either very smart or very Lucky or that Eastbourne have opened a wallet to bring riders like Adam to your door.

Saying that and putting my feelings to one side the side that Eastbourne have put out is much stronger then before and its good to see that other teams are now having to watch out for you as they did last year, my own choice would be that with the remainding ponits you have left would be to drop a reserve and bring in Ethan spiller then you could have a french man and german.

i am only joking its a good move for the Club and i will be coming down to watch Adam as he was fantastic at lakeside a few weeks and he will draw in a few extras, i think its going to be a tight fixture with Mildenhall and would be nice to see Mildenhall supporters on the road.

Sadly i think the tie will be over after the meeting on saturday night. Adam Ellis, Wood & Knight will probably fill their boots and if the reserves remain steady should score decently too as Parker has some speed to find and i suspect its too early for Bebee to be thrown in. If Perks kicks in early it could be a massacre. Not sure how the two Connors go around Arlington but i can only see the real resistance coming from Halsey & Armstrong and neither are a match for Ellis.

On Sunday Mildenhall should provide a sterner test as they look a lot more solid at home providing they dont prepare a stupid track. Although Eastbourne have a good guest in Blacklock who may well top the score charts but i will go for a 48-42 home win but Eastbourne safely through to the next round.

it's called study, work and a life! I'm beginning to lose faith that speedway will be on and if it's not I'll be kicking myself again! I think that we will win Halsey don't like this track and none of their team stand out to me so I'm saying we will hit 50..... I'm just praying it's nice now

Blacklock a good guest for Sunday I wanted him in our team this season

Its ok everyone i have been sick thanks for asking struck me when we lost home and away to Kent then it was made worse by 2 rain offs, anyway i am back and ready to help you lot see sence that the best move the club have done in the last year was to have Adam Ellis and also take the car parking charge off the gate, I used to roll up thinking i get there early before the staff then i open my sandwiches have an afternoon out let the kids run wild in the car park with a football and were all winners i save a £1.

Back to the main topic Eastbourne 115 points but it wont go all there way but will have a good result at Mildenhall on Sunday, Wrap up warm tomorrow as snow is on its way

Sorry Alex some of us are past the studying stage lol heck back in my day studying was actually not really essential never the less good luck. I think between 95-105 for the eagles

Ha ha thanks I'm back on the forum now as there is a prospect of speedway today....
