Kent 2016

One thing that never surprises me is the amount of criticism that riders suffer.

Mainly from those who have never ridden a speedway bike.

Let the riders get on with it and encourage them, the last thing any sportsman/woman wants is some idiot spouting how bad they are.

They are participating to entertain you, enjoy themselves and possibly attain a decent level with money to boot!

Leave the lads alone and let the talking come from this years performances.

Good luck to all the Kent Riders in 2016 and hope you make all your supporters eat there words of criticism.

Not the "if you haven't raced a speedway bike you can't comment" line again... Fans pay to watch, therefore the money they put into their speedway club helps to pay riders their wages, therefore they can comment all they like. If I buy some steak and I don't like it I'll complain, I've never been a steak though.

Riders race for themselves, because they enjoy it and/or want to make a career out of it. Nobody puts their life on the line riding a motorbike just for the sake of entertaining others, that is a by-product.

Oh dear, just the typical response and example of a keyboard warrior/troll.

Read and read again my post, oh well it actually says they race because they enjoy it. Doesn't it!

It also says a lot more, but unless its explained and broken down like explaining to a child its too hard to comprehend.

If you have a steak and don't enjoy it or throw it up, yes complain. But 2 months later are you still on the back of whoever served, cooked it? Well probably yes you are, but maybe it was your body saying something to you.

Had enough of people who respond with I know everything and better.

Only have to look how many posts you have made to see how worked up and fed up with other people you get.

White and two sugars please seeing as the kettle's boiled.

If reasoned response is trolling now we may as well close the forum.

Come now your being facetious. You had David Mason on the track with a suspected broken leg and the medics were not in a position to move him until an ambulance crew arrived. As I said unless something exceptional occurs!

Actually it wasn't just David laying stricken with what was actually a leg broken in FOUR places - at the exact same time a gentleman collapsed in the crowd and an ambulance had to be called for him too...

Both ambulances arrived - dealt with their respective patients.

An exceptional set of circumstances - so no surprise we couldn't beat the curfew that evening.

Bit rubbishty using a potentially seriously injured fan in a sentence that ends lol. Just my opinion of course.

Your right Teaboy its only your opinion, I know the gentleman that was having a heart murmer and he was fine a few weeks after the event thats why i was able to have a laugh about it, Maybe Teaboy you should sit back and see what happens in the real world, Maybe you will see that things happen for a reason.

But as i said i was only joking because as i know the outcome of it and i know for a fact that you dont know this gentleman as i know who you are and the gentleman concerned and he does not know you.

Keep your eyes and ears open as i am around all the time and have seen as many meetings and goings on as kent as you have "wink wink"

Glad the gent is ok, the guy did not look too clever laid on the floor.

Anyway your original post gave no clue that you knew him so to me read you was mocking the guy or using the guys problem to mock the track. No big issue

Not really sure how to respond to the real world comment, the know who you are comment, Or keeping my eyes and ears open either lol.

Guessing I should know you then, care to offer any clues :)

Poor sentiments all round. Ben91 is quite right he pays his money and is entitled to his opinion right or wrong

I try very hard not say anything negative about riders but there are times when someone is taking the P*** and they deserve all they get.

This is a forum and to take someone to task over the number of posts they make is just plain daft. How do you know the quality of his 3000 odd posts, you only have to be active on a few threads for the numbers to mount up

You have made 154 posts which means you know little about the forum and attacking someone whose views you oppose is not the way the forum was intended when it was set up.

Hope this thread gets back on track because as a Rye House supporter i enjoy my trips to Kent and hope they do good next year

I don't know Ben91 but i do see his posts regularly some i agree with some i don't but that life

Quite agree with that, my experience of reading Bens posts are that I agree with around 60 percent of them disagree with 25 percent and indifferent to the rest. But everything he writes is well thought out and we'll written.

Coming back on topic, this season I am organising a few pennies for the lads. There are 2 ways, I am trying to get each rider Sponsored 10 pound a week for fuel and 10 pound per week for oil, everyone has at least one spot available except danny who already has both sponsors in place.

The other method is to sponsor your favorite/favourites riders per point from anything from 10p per point. Anyone wishing to get involved please get in contact.

Also David Mason has room on his kevlars and bike for sponsors, and I guess this applies to the whole team. Remember guts every little helps.

  • 4 weeks later...

I believe it must be in writing to swale council to the address on the site, making sure you include the ref. I believe the online stuff linked into the article is the planning proposal itself which anyone can view.

Representations by e-mail are fine (the majority are made by e-mail)
