speedibee
If he did, as you say, see the error of his ways then surely that's a positive thing. Hancock? He was doing exactly the same thing - laughing and joking during his own national anthem - after winning a gp last year. If you think Tai was in the wrong last year for doing that then fair enough. But it doesn't mean he isn't British. And, this time, he showed the anthem full respect. No respect at all ,He was doing as commanded by his paymasters Monster energy ., and by the way I have never said he wasn't british , technically he is , my grievance is the way he used British speedway then turned his back on it ,just when he was in a position to pay a bit back ,
stevebrum
So i see you still banging on about this. you are on very very very sad pathetic man who has to keep putting this out there. just so your thick little brain can compute: Tai was born in England to English parents Who when he was young emigrated Tai grew up in Australia Therefore he will always have Australia as a special place to him. He grew up in Australia His friends therefore are Australian He rides for Team GB He gives absolutely 110% when riding for his country His goal is to be World Champion and his schedule shows that. He does a lot of stuff for the sport in the uk Now lets look at you: Sad pathetic weasel with a chip on his shoulder because your a failed rider. TAI WOFFINDEN IS BRITISH! You dont have to like him personally , i never took to Havelock, but i cheered Havvy on in 1992 Do us all a favour and shut the hell up with your constant Tai agenda you look very sad. Let the genuine speedway fans back and support the fact we could possibly have a 3 times BRITISH WORLD CHAMPION Well said , let's face it its only Robert72 and his plastic duo that have an issue. Everybody knows the truth. It's what trolls do. The trouble if Nicki retires is that we would have no one to boo or cheer when excluded . Very true, however someone will become the new boo hero lol

I think theres more to come from nicki, he puts a brave face on it ,but it must get him down knowing every time he tries to make a pass , somebody is gonna chuck a bike down and the referees will exclude him .
Hodgy
So he has a big Union Jack tattoo then ? Oops No he has a tattoo of the Austrailian flag but he is 100% British of course, He must be the most unpopular world champion associated to this country. You do appear to have a personal vendetta. Not Tai's decision to relocate to Oz after being born in Blighty. Surely it's understandable he has a connection with Australia, the country he was brought up. He had the choice but decided his allegiance was with nationality of birth and parentage - respect, accept and understand that decision. Yes, maybe he has an accent and is a tad cock sure but hey!!! He's 2 times British World Champion. We don't have much success to shout about these days. Embrace it!!!

He chose Britain solely as it was the best chance to get in the GP, otherwise I am sure he would be an Aussie now. One of my problems with tai is he snubs the Ben fund for injured riders from the country of his birth but jumps at any chance to help fund a rider who has just bought a house on the Gold Coast. solrac
So what if he doesn't sing the national anthem It's hardly the crime of the century is it ? After all there's far more things in life to worry about . I wonder if from now on other riders who win GPs will recieve the same level of critasisam if they don't sing their national anthems , or is this all all about " he's not a real Brit is he " ? Agreed. Anyway we have a dirge of an anthem so can't blame the fella for that.

Any post you makes lacks any credibility full stop. I take it Bomber, Nicholls have done all the Ben Funds then?? And all the World Champions since its inception have appeared also yes? You might have some point if the above is true but we all know it isn't so you're post is invalid. Feel free to prove me wrong on the Ben Fund point. All the top British riders race in them every season do they? ??? But you will ignore those points and bring up something totally irrelevant about his tattoos and him living in Australia as some sort of rationale. still, your posts are great for an illogical laugh. The forum always needs a joke and troll wrapped into one.
ColinMills
didnt lennox lewis make his millions in las vegas?.....(personally believe tai should do brit final) BUT, in a short career, anyone would make their millions where they can, its natural

I don't know if you have ever met Tai Woffinden? In May 2012 I met the fella at a meeting in Wroclaw v Rzeszow(the day Lee Richardson lost his life due to speedway racing).I met him again at Wroclaw Airport on my way home(the next day) to the UK the following day after LR's unfortunate passing. At Wroclaw that day, there were only 3 BRITISH folk present at the meeting(fact),myself,Woffy and LR!!!Only 2 of us made it home alive the next day.I haven't come across a more accommodating speedway rider anywhere in 45 years of watching speedway!!Instead of myself travelling by public transport home,he welcomed me to travel with him homeward bound in the most difficult of circumstances!!No matter what you comment on this forum, the fella is an absolute champion in every way,so please give up talking complete and utter bollox,as you know sweet fa!! waiheke1
Excellent gp, some cracking racing. Kudos to killer for not bailing when zmarzlick clunker into him. Some tough calls for the ref, but reckon he got them right. Tai not yet looking as good or quick as last year, but very hard to see past him for world champ. If he does win would surely make him the greatest ever brit. Good to see holder looking in for as well. Disappointing night for the poles, but those four should all be a force for the next 15 years so plenty of time on their side. Shaping as a cracking season, with 14 of the field capable of winning a gp and making top 8. I think the evenness of riders reflected in scores so far.

No, I think it's clear he doesn't give a sh*t about Britain. End of story. I dislike him because of who he is not any nationality.

So you met him twice and got a lift so he is the best person in the world to you, that's great. You mention the tragic loss of LR I know his family,I also knew the family of another British rider killed, plus know 2 riders in wheelchairs. so when you see a British world champion snub the Ben fund but take part for a rider who can afford a house on the Gold Coast he loses a lot of credibility as a nice guy. Tai doesn't give a monkeys about this country,he chose Britain for his career opportunities not for the love it it,his love and home is Australia and that's where he will be when he retired. Any news on the training days ?
Woz01
I haven't agreed with Tai's decision not to do the British Final but to say he isn't British is just laughable. Also I cannot believe people are having a go at Bomber for doing the British semi final, he wants to be British Champ. Whoever decided the dates for the semis needs sacking. I'm more critical of Bomber doing other events like grass track the day after, as a GP rider he should be concentrating on Speedway. Had clutch issues on all his bikes, bad set up from his team? He should sort that instead of playing grasstrack.
topsoil
I wonder if any sportsman does anything "for his country". I would have thought they do it firstly for themselves, or their team mates, or their friends and family.

Of course he will want to raise money for his FRIEND!! How many more times you pathetic little weasel do you need to be told that Tai was BORN in the UK to BRITISH parents!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And he chose the UK to further his career did he, mate you need to get out more. Go through the riders that Tai was up against coming through from Australia, basically Holder and Ward and maybe Batch. Fact is Tai was and is better than all of them so he didnt need to go anywhere if he didnt want to. Do us all a favour and take your pathetic crusade elsewhere you complete t0sser I couldn't care less any more about the Woffinden situation. Yes, he's British. OveFundinFan
I agree with woz01, the farce re the dates of the semis clashing with a GP is irresponsible. OK if there were no other dates available in which case the brits in the GP should have direct route to the final. If the dates could have been a different time to avoid a clash with GP, ten the person who sanctioned the dates should be relieved of his/her duties.
