DutchGrasstrack
The One Sport Best Pairs will be back in 2016, but a little different..... no nations but companies can enter the competition. So the companies can buy any riders they like it seems. There will be three events in April/Mai next year, with one round in Germany. More info (in German) here: http://www.speedweek.com//speedwaybp/news/85528/Best-Pairs-Neue-Ideen-wer-bezahlt-deutsches-Team.html Edited December 12, 2015 by DutchGrasstrack

More info (in German) here: http://www.speedweek.com//speedwaybp/news/85528/Best-Pairs-Neue-Ideen-wer-bezahlt-deutsches-Team.html THIS was how John Postlethwaite originally envisaged the SGP when his company, BSI, first bought the commercial rights to the World Championship. Hardly surprising given that he was coming from a F1 background but his idea quickly fell on stoney ground when he realised that there wasn't any companies with the sort of financial resources he required interested in speedway. Not sure there would be for a European Pairs competition either but time, as always, will tell. Have heard a whisper that British Eurosport, disappointed to have lost the SGP TV rights to BT Sport and now having binned the Swedish League, may not show the SEC either. At least this will hopefully now stop them from aligning it to the original, official FIM world pairs. Bavarian
Without guaranteed coverage on EUROSPORT the SEC and the SBPC will have no chance of survival. Company owned pairs/teams instead of national sides hardly makes this Micky Mouse speedway series any more appealing for the tv/media and fans. A stupid move by OneSport and one that will make BSI/IMG smile.

I guess they will still have Eurosport coverage in other Countries, it's just the British Eurosport coverage that Phil was suggesting might be lost. PHILIPRISING
FIM put the rights up for the official world pairs recently, neither BSI or one sport were interested. NOT sure that's true. Believe BSI hold the rights. I am not alone in thinking that they should alternate a pairs and team competition each year. But they have yet to be convinced. Ghostwalker
The second final (on 06.08.2016) will be held in Latvia, so most likely in Daugavpils. Oh and believe it or not but there are once again NO riders from the ACU in the SEC qualifiers Confirmed today: http://www.speedwaynyheter.se/2015/12/18/sec-daugavpils-arrangerar-deltavling/ http://www.speedwayeuro.com/en/news/n/716/ Edited December 18, 2015 by Ghostwalker

Bradford Ace
Presumably the last round is in Poland but no idea why they r drip feeding each announcement & taking so long about it?? Looking at going to it & trying to catch some Ekstraliga action so hope they pull their fingers out & announce it soon so we can all plan ahead. You are not going to be able do a lot of planning-we know the SEC last round is on September 17th in Poland-however the next day is play-offs final and 3rd/4th match1st legs-so could be anywhere. Not officially being announced until tomorrow-but Rybnik will hold final SEC round on September 17th -according to Polish sources. Also an interesting interview on Sportowefakty with One sports Jan Konikiewicz regarding the SBPC speedway best pairs in which he states that they have been forced by the FIM to stop using national teams from 2016-hence the change to "sponsors " named teams such as Fogo and Nice http://sportowefakty.wp.pl/zuzel/571992/runela-koncepcja-sbpc-wladze-fim-wymusily-zmiany Edited January 12, 2016 by racers and royals

racers and royals
One Sport have said that the 3 wild-cards will not be named this season until after the SEC qualifying final in Olching on May 26th. 7 riders qualify from this meeting to the 4 finals.
