f-s-p
That's not true I think he is an exciting rider but the gap had closed by the rider in blue. Emil went for a closing gap, hit him and knocked him off. just a racing accident but I thought Emil caused the stoppage by causing rider in blue to fall. He could have throttled back an waited. He had the speed. No big deal other than to the fallen rider who was ok. What I thought as well. Emil's done it before with Hans in an elitserien match at Motala and one of the pair ended over the fence. Emil should have been excluded. The event is only there for Emil to win.

mdmc82
I thought this was a good meeting and the size and shape of the track left lots of room for passing and racing. I could watch Emil all day. He has such a natural talent on a bike
ytsejam
Best meeting on TV this year by far...so much better than any of the GP's. Can you imagine the inane monkey noises shouty Pearson would have been emitting had we been unfortunate enough to have had him commentating on this meeting?!!
Hodgy
Brilliant! Speedway at its absolute best. Commentary, dull as - so much prefer Smashy & Nicey.

Midland Red
An enjoyable meeting if utterly and completely meaningless. Why on earth should that matter? In "the good old days" we turned up every week at our local track to watch the speedway racing - that's what it was all about, and so much better for it.
Trees
Shame the track deteriorated .....
customhouseregular
Some of these start line camera shots are bordering on soft port, love it soft port?...is that like lbv port?. An enjoyable meeting if utterly and completely meaningless. So many top europeans not involved. Still, its a couple of hours of speedway on tv so better than nothing. But considering the World Champ is a European and not involved doesn't it make this farcical? I would not agree the series is meaningless but without Tai it is devalued. DutchGrasstrack
One of the best meetings I have ever seen Definitely worth the long drive east.
waiheke1
What an amazing meeting, right up there with the best I've seen. awesome racing, amazing there were only two stoppages given the number of close encounters.

Phil The Ace
Just watched the euros. WOW, WOW & double WOW. that was by there the best meeting I've ever watched. A few points to make Nicki was hard on ljung but not dirty. Nicki was passed him and lounge hit the fence before contact. Nicki rightfully excluded though Nicki is Deffo ageing. When has he ever admitted he should have been excluded. Hans did one of the most dirtiest moves ever. How was emil not excluded for that final crash. He caused the crash. All though if anything all 4 should have been allowed back. And if BSPA don't recognise this as an event then why was there an English ref
crumpiefan
People may disagree but i actually enjoy the SEC meetings more than the GPs lately. The racing is definitely better imo. Don't know whether the tracks they choose help on that score but i've really enjoyed these last few meetings.

f-s-p
And if BSPA don't recognise this as an event then why was there an English ref Because basically ACU does.
DutchGrasstrack
My pics from a fantastic evening in Latvia here: http://www.baansportfansite.nl/nieuws/1145/grigory-laguta-wint-ronde-twee-europees-kampioenschap-speedway-in-daugavpils.html
crumpiefan
I certainly don't disagree. i hadn't read all the comments tbh, majority seem very positive. Just shows how good speedway can be when the track is conducive to good racing
