Oh I knew you'd have to educate me on the politics but tbh I couldn't give a toss about politics of any type, I just like watching decent speedway and One Sport are helping to provide that without me having to leave the house, happy days.

So thanks for the lesson but it's wasted on me.

You have a right to be ignorant of course.

So are you saying they try to make money out of it instead of doing it for free? Evil people. Glad the GP's are not in their hands...

That is absolutely not what I said and I'm disappointed that you make such a facile and inaccurate assumption.

I have worked in television and need no lecture on its economics!

My concern is that a major part of One Sport's motivation is to gain control of the SGP and SWC deals and are organising these events not only for the obvious and acceptable motive of profit but also to destabilise BSI. I suspect that keeping Emil Sayfutdinov in the SEC and out of the SGP may be part of this.

Now I am no fan of BSI but I worry about a Polish takeover of the sport at the highest level. We have already seen the dubious exercise of economic power by the Polish clubs with their total disregard for the sport outside their own boundaries.

We already have BSI feeding off the British clubs by using their assets to destabilise and force the EL to the point of ruin by taking weekend racing in particular. The last thing that we need is another rival organisation making the situation worse.

Sometimes it's necessary to see the bigger picture.

What I truly resent is the infantile attempt to belittle my sincerely-held and considered views based on nearly half a century's involvement in the sport in the manner that you have used. I thought you were one of the more intelligent posters. Clearly that was an error that I now regret.

It distresses me to see how greedy eyes viewed what we had in Britain and have been working for years to take what we had.

The success of this can be seen in the derelict state of the EL which is not merely the result of the BSPA's shortcomings.

Exactly, I think he's got issues with One Sport.

I don't have 'issues' with anything. I do have a problem taking people seriously who abuse the use of the word 'issues', but then we live in a world where calling a problem an 'issue' is a standard deflection tactic. "No boss, we don't have problems, but there are a few 'issues'.

An issue is whether we remain in the EU, whether we allow legal abortions or fight for social justice. A problem is not an 'issue'.

In any case I do not have a problem with One Sport, I have concerns and a distaste for how they do business though as most people would have if they had the brains to look beyond the end of their noses!

I only have myself to blame for fooling myself that I was in intelligent company.

I shall leave you all to bang the rocks together.

Do you have any proof that there goal is to get hold of SGP or SWC? Sorry but Emil choosing to not ride in the GP's not enough for me he is not an 8 year old boy, he makes his own career path.

I can only see that they put their money into two low level almost forgotten competitions (pairs, euros) and made it a lot better.

Although i can remember that the BSI tried to shut them down by forbidding "their" riders to enter the euros...

The days when people were greedy of british leagues are gone you can blame other organisations but it wont solve anything.

No need to get offended but your original post lacked any considered views, facts or whatsoever, it was more like an inaccurate assumption, not sure what you expected in response.

I think that BSPA don't allow British riders to enter.

IMO the SEC would be a good series for Lambert to get some international experience.

It would be a great experience for any British riders to enter these competitions, but the BSPA don't see it that way, too much of a disruption to the domestic fixtures.

You really do think you're something special don't you, easy to throw insults like that while you're sat in your living room.

How come that Huckenbeck finished 3rd? Surely it should be Kolodziej.[/quote

r&r is correct no points awarded for last chance race -off therefore went back to points scored .Commentator explained it on the night.

Pretty sure the BSPA dropped their objection to Brits riding in the Euros and Pairs - hence Woffy being the 'reserve' in the Monster Pairs team.

Their original objection was to try to protect British EL Saturday track fixtures - especially Eastbourne's - but that stopped when Eastie went NL. Doesn't really affect Leicester.

The other thing used to be that One Sport only announced their dates after the International speedway fixture calendar was announced - but I believe that is no longer the case and the relationship between BSPA, FIM and One Sport is now much better, hence the Kings Lynn challenge meeting at the start of the season.

They would have only truly dropped their objection if they had allowed "Facilities" for missing riders in British league matches if there were clashes.

Really enjoyed the meeting from Güstrow. Agree the SEC would be a great way for Brit's like Lambert to get some quality International Experience, ridiculous if it is the BSPA that are denying their riders such an opportunity. Looking forward to the next event. Will be supporting Vaculik, Kołodziej & Lebedevs for the rest of the series due to no Brit's.
