Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?

Recommended Posts

Lets be honest !, you are not going to win the League, but nether are you going to finish's bottom, enjoy having a team because us Wimbledon, Reading, Hull, Bradford, Hackney, Boston, White City, Etc, etc, etc, wish we had a team !!!!!!!!.

As Bradford/Halifax speedway supporters; and now exiled in Scunthorpe for our speedway fix. I will just say this; get behind the Scorpions; we have an absolutely brilliant race track go and support it because I can assure you of this your a long long time DEFUNCT !. Its not all about the winning its about being able to be in the race to even think of winning. You got to be existence to win and not sat at home watching ITV's The Durell's wishing the speedway was still open. Edited by the outsider

Not always the done thing to answer your own post; but maybe exiled is too strong; we now regard Scunthorpe as our "home track". When there were rumours of an Odsal revival a 2-3 years ago; we debated if that would mean we suddenly reverted to being Bradford supporters all of a sudden. You know the answer we came up with ...err NO ! we would still be Scunthorpe fans and firmly in the Scorpions camp when the two teams faced off !

Knowing what speedway is like probably Saturday

Never quite understood the secret squirrel approach at certain tracks - I find it bizarre. If you want people through the door, then you need to tell them what they can look forward to.

I'll add the 1-16 to twitter at around lunchtime, and also point out the key clashes.

All the best

What, like a certain announcer (on the Scunny centre green) on the May day Monday match saying he knew the line up, but would not tell us?

No, that was different. There was a draft list known by the Monday, which I saw for the first time after that meeting. BUT that list had two changes from the finalised list that was sent out on Tuesday morning. If that list had been announced, people made plans to watch their favourite rider, only for the next day to be told that they were actually in the other semi, then they'd have every right to be annoyed.

The riders were announced as soon as the list was finalised.

So two in... We knew Morris was only a temporary fix, so i'm guessing he'll be one to make way... Who's gonna be the other? They're all likeable lads and all capable of putting in a performance...albeit inconsistently..so shame to see any of them go..but guess needs must.

Incoming... I guess two from these five... Lyager, Tofty, Compton, Hall, Proctor...? Anyone else spring to mind?

Be interesting to see the changes Rob & Dave decide to make, realistically I don't think scunny could afford to bring in Compton or Procter but id rather see our asset base build and sign Lyager, he looks a great prospect.

So if Lyager comes in for Morris then my guess is the other rider leaving will be Holub, think he has potential but we can't afford to wait for it so that leaves us 6.75 to replace him with, we could bring back MPT but we would still have a point to play with, I am honestly unsure what we are going to do with this one and fancy Rob and Dave to pull something out of left field and sign someone we don't expect, can't wait to see who!

Lewy,

The amount of time you spend on the Scunny threads, dont fight it any longer just embrace it and admit deep down you are a closet fan.

Lewy surely when you allegedly visited the

Ewr you witnessed some ok racing it wasn't as good as normal because your team are crap..a team full of gating tarts who enjoy your toy track..stay on your own thread and bore everyone else on there.
