Scunthorpe Scorpions 2016?

Recommended Posts

Ignoring BWD & Waj as I think they will be elsewhere. Either Shanes, Ayres or Perry would be great value to watch at the EWR.

As an outside pick for number 7 how about Ellis Perks ;)

Perry is a good shout for an actual spot and he's been with the Scorpions before.

So Rob looked at Lasse Bjerre and Nicolai Klindt and Matty O is not in his plans,( Workington?)would/could the reserve be someone who has done laps at the ewr? im not clued up on who are the emerging star riders from the nl, id still plump for Bellego though

I wonder if he still wants a number 1, to put Josh at 5, and he pulls someone out the bag that no-one has mentioned.

The list of 13 could look something like: Wajtkencht, Perry, Carr, D. Greenwood, O. Greenwood, Greaves, Williamson, Morley, Shanes, Ayres, Payne, Stokes and Owen. All of those are going in the right direction with probably Wajtknecht, Ayres, Shanes and Greaves the fastest but arguably Wajtknecht, both Greenwoods and Morley are the top riders in that pool especially with some PL experience in there.

Swap you Mellgren for Simota; and we're talking assuming Holoub is out the equation mind. I like Bellego he flys round Scunny.

Another point here; if Ryan has to qualify through the State Championship to get a Visa; presumably that's because he has to have a 7.00pt average to get back. Assuming he qualifies through top 4 in his State Champ; what average does he actually come in on in 2016? He is 6.68CMA in the final reckoning which is why he needs a Visa anyway and therefore must come back as 7.00pt rider. Or am I missing something ?;

So Ryan's average actually inflates and... he's coming back from serious injury !. Ludicrous.

oh god I've just realised I was meaning Holub not Simota, that would be my half functioning brain

Well we only have a couple of weeks to wait for most of the team, i dont think he would announce Ryan if he wasnt 100% sure.,he is building with strength in depth so a strong reserve at 6,Wilko?, are both greenwoods in the nl? thought only Dan was, also we tried Tom Perry a couple of years ago, he replaced Matty O but didnt fair any better, wasnt Tom a "rider of the future" a while back? im sure Rob heaped a load of praise on him once and said he tried to sign him ?

Anyone know how the picks will be done?... would Holoub be riding abroad on a sunday, think it was mentioned before, or riding on a saturday like he has been this year?

Rob said Carlos starts as reserve so Josh has to be the highest average in the team. There must be sufficient reason to believe Ryan will be ok. I think we have elected to go 1-6 in strength rather than an out n out No1

Anders Mellgren has unfinishd business with us; and can be a 7-8 point rider. Whilst Zdnecks inclusion means we take something from this season and put it into next. He definitely could be a success in this league in 2016. Good machinery and commitment. Theres a lot of points in a team of:

Auty;Holoub;Douglas;:Davies; Mellgren; Wilko and NL rider.

I would not go for Perry by the way; he was nowhere when he came in for Matty last year.

Oliver Greenwood wasn't in the NL last year but I was under the impression the spot is for riders on a PL average of 3.00 that are eligible for the NL, which Oliver is.

I would haveTheo as the first name down for the team. Very surprised others feel different, or is he confirmed elsewhere.

Would not disagree all things being equal. But you get the impression that his missing our final match due to an overseas commitment burnt a bridge but Rob said there was no hard feelings. For me Theo was superb all season and Rider of the Year no disrespect to Carlos who lifted that pot last week. I would have Theo back; he is a safe and accomplished motorcyclist always racing with his head. I saw him guest up at Berwick late season and he did well alongside Thomas and both could be resident up in Bandit country in 2016.

You are kidding! Longtrack was in the calender from the begining of the season,an nl league guest should of been used but godfrey cheated in his desperate bid to avoid the wooden spoon he owes theo imo he took a bullet for godfrey! The side you are talking about without theo is poor and will be in contention for the wooden spoon again

We ran this season virtually with no Josh and no Ryan, lose one and you can maybe get away with it, lose 2 and your in trouble, getting those 2 back will be like 2 new signings.

im hoping Zedenek is signing for a place in 2017, meaming he needs to learn all the away tracks, he is a class act with a good people in his corner,

Lewy, it is good to see you are still obsessed with your beloved Scunthorpe, if you can retain your obsession over the winter I look forward to seeing you every Sunday.

Rule manipulation is not cheating just good management. I could see your point of view if this was the only ever episode of this type of thing but it ain't and you continually venting your spleen on a Scunthorpe thread won't change the fact that it will happen again before very long
