To The Point
I agree that Berwick have a poor looking side in 2016. Scunny look pretty good, though! All the best Rob Don't agree with you that Berwick as a poor side, as I don't agree that Scunny has a poor side either. I see them as very similar teams in potential performance, both teams are built as teams in depth, and on paper are mid table teams. In both cases they have the potential to surprise. I'm with you Berwick look a decent side especially having Tommy Gun; Theo and Anders in the order. Intend keeping my eye on the Bandidos and looking forward to catching them in action up at Shielfield again this season as well as the EWR.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Didnt there used to be a regulation in place that prevented the reintroduction of a rider that was in the previous seasons final 1-7 when they were omitted from the new seasons side?? I thought it was aimed at making average manipulation early season more difficult. Presumably either 1) I dreamt it 2) its no longer in place or 3) special dispensation already agreed?? From 2015 regs: 16.3.3 A Rider in a Team's declared 1 - 7 at the end of the previous Season and not included in that Team’s new Season’s initial declaration may not be subsequently re-introduced into that Team without the express permission of the MC. Looks like they must have asked then..... Ps Rule 16.2.9 An EL or PL Rider starting the season with an Assessed MA will have an Established MA after 4 Home and 4 Away fixtures, becoming effective 7 days after the last qualifying Meeting. Should an Established MA not be achieved in order to be effective from 1st May, then the MC may issue a revised MA, based upon actual rides if the Team re-declares. ZODIAK
Nicolai's on 5.89; and Zeddy is 7:00 so if he drops 1.11 off his average job done. He's paired at 4 with Alex; so three heats he's facing opposition No's 3/4; 1/2; 5/6 at home with Ht14 4/7 - which he might be expected to take. Away he's goes against 3/4; 5/6 then 1/2 before Ht14 4/6. So not unreasonable to assume a shaving off 7:00. Any suggestion that we would deliberately ride his average down is just that a suggestion. Great news on Andreas Lyager; all for it; he's organised; on good equipment and for me could be the next Jan O Pedersen !. Check him out on Facebook; clearly very happy to get the gig at Scunny ! Footnote; don't we look good ?; so many interesting aspects to this team; return of Josh A and Ryan; and Nicolai back helps us hit the ground racing; Zeddy and Andrea's two great prospects ; Alex back who can push on this season and Josh B making his first tyre strides in the PL. What's not to like about this Scunny team ?. Hey sorry I forgot Wilko; blooming heck ! - he should be buzzin getting his EL ride at Lynn. No mate.
phillwhitewasmad
Not at all manipulation is allowed its cheating I dont likeDon't think we are great at this cheating lark we haven't won own for 4 years think there's others who are better at it than us. When your team visits us why not come up and introduce yourself I'm sure Mr Godfrey would be please to meet you as well you could maybe do an interview on the rights and wrongs of Scunthorpe speedway.

Alan_Jones
There may be no need to release Klindt now that most Sunday PL fixtures take precedence after the Polish fixture shake-up.
lucifer sam
SCORPIONS HOLD PRICES HENDERSON INSURANCE Scunthorpe Scorpions have held their admission prices for the third successive season. It will remain £15 for an adult to watch a single Premier League meeting at the Eddie Wright Raceway, and £17 to watch the double-headers on Easter Sunday, May Day Bank Holiday, Spring Bank Holiday and Summer Bank Holiday. Scunthorpe promoter Rob Godfrey said: “We offer one of the most attractive set of admission prices across the entire Premier League, and that will again be the case in 2016. “We are pegging our admission prices at the same level for the third successive season. “We realise the need to provide a good value-for-money package. That doesn’t just cover the admission, but also the programme and the food. It doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to watch speedway in Scunthorpe and that’s important if you want people to come back for every meeting. “As well as keeping the prices down for supporters, we will again be going all out to make sure the racing at Scunthorpe is second to none. We’re proud that many supporters from all over the country have visited and branded our racetrack the best in Britain. “I believe we offer an unbeatable package, with plenty of entertainment and thrilling action at the Eddie Wright Raceway.” The Scorpions commence their home meetings on Sunday, March 20th (3pm) with the visit of Ipswich Witches in a League Cup encounter. The Witches won a highly controversial encounter last July, and Scorpions will be looking to avenge that result. Three days earlier, on March 17th, the Scorpions travel away to Ipswich in the corresponding fixture, where they will be looking to get their League Cup fixtures off to a flying start. ADMISSION PRICES 2016 (same as 2014 and 2015): 2016 Premier League Admission Prices (single meeting): Adult: £15.00 Student/OAP: £13.00 Child (10 – 17): £5.00 Child (0 – 9) Free (accompanied by paying adult) Family Ticket £35 (2 adults, 2 Children 10-17) Match Programme: £1.00 2016 Bank Holiday double-header meetings (i.e. Premier League match followed by a further meeting): Adult: £17.00 Student/OAP: £15.00 Child (10 – 17): £5.00 Child (0 – 9) Free (accompanied by paying adult) Family Ticket £39 (2 adults, 2 Children 10-17) Match Programme: £1.00

Newcastle and Peterborough look the two stand outs to me. I agree with you on Newcastle & P/boro. On Scunny and Berwick a lot of people have written them off, to me they are both teams in depth, but merit mid table, in what is a very open field this season, they could easily not achieve, but at the same time have the ability to go the other way. crescent girl
Mid-table, as people quote is position six and a half! One good away win, or a couple of away bonus points and your team finishes sixth. And then the 'real league championship' starts again in September..................
