Broadsider
I could be wrong, but isn't Andreas Lyager riding for the same Polish team as Klindt this season? Corect both NK & AL are with Polish league side Czestochowa in 2016 and unfortunately that seems to rule out any imminent Scunny return for AL? However, Polish sides do operate squad systems and therefore dependant on AL's involvement then there may be some leeway to reinclude AL at the EWR? It would be great to see AL given further opportunity at Scunny as from the brief glimpse we've had, he certainly appears nothing less than organised and with a real apetite to succeed at his chosen sport.

romans lovechild
who`s to say that klindt may not get to ride for his polish side with the reputation some of these polish teams have with their foreign riders, so could end up staying the full season. phillipsr
Honestly just think that the signing of Klindt will mean Scunthorpe will finish 2nd bottom with Rye bottom both sides still look really weak
IronScorpion
Rob knew his average would drop, as do most newcomers on a 7 so not a risk with also the chance of changes later. As pointed out already, Holub scored 12 pts from 15 rides so needs to score 53 more points from 21 rides to attain a 7 from his remaining 2 home & 3 away meetings required to get an actual CMA. Something tells me that Rob has got his head screwed on, "teased us" with not running in 2016, then thought 1 bad injury season, lets see what we can do with the "entertainers" if injuries are minimal. Paul Johnson
Honestly just think that the signing of Klindt will mean Scunthorpe will finish 2nd bottom with Rye bottom both sides still look really weak hes not a full time signing, only for about 3 weeks to a month
thebaron
Honestly just think that the signing of Klindt will mean Scunthorpe will finish 2nd bottom with Rye bottom both sides still look really weak Weak ?; don't see how you arrive at that analysis I would say Scunny look one of the more capable outfits. A fit Josh Auty and Ryan Douglas; Alex Davies starting on a level with the rest of them; and add Nicolai Klindt. All should up their averages. Zdneck Holub looked a strong rider with quality machinery; he will not be making up the numbers. Carl Wilkinson is arguably the best No6 in the League and will challenging to move up the order. Josh Bailey ? like all the NL fast trackers we have to see how they cope. But I have a hunch that JB is going to be one of the better ones. So weak ?; no not for me I fancy us I really do.
Bagpuss
Not too many agree with you going by the predictions thread. I don't see Scunny at the bottom but certainly bottom half.
sparkafag
The Scunthorpe team looks like the side you want to get out the way early in the league as it is a decent chance of away points before they make changes.
archie21
I read somewhere that taylor had some bad injuries to his head and legs, he has been offered a good job,but will probably just ride now and again over in aus Just read Scunthorpes article in the Speedway Star. It quotes from Taylor with references to the injuries he has had, the metal work in him and that He thinks he is not the rider he was. I personally wish him all the very best for the future in whatever it brings.

phillwhitewasmad
Really looking forward to the season now think we are going to be a tough nut to crack at home which is where it counts. Let's hope for a long safe season and a top half finish.
June
I'm happy with this team...Josh will be back with a Buzz! . Klindt can gate and once in the lead knows the fastest way around the track. Alex if he comes back and performs as he left off. ( was my rider of the year ) will be a threat to anyone. Holub loads of promise and Wilko in reserve. Hopefully Ryan will be over his injuries and rearing to go. Looks like some good racing at EWR.

thebaron
Read Tay's words in this weeks Speedway Star; you have to say if your in a frame of mind that makes you doubt yourself in this game it is best to stick your hand up. Absolute respect to him for his honest assessment of where he is with his recovery from previous bashes and where he see's himself in life. Plus the benefit of his fathers history with injury and no doubt some sound words of advice. Cannot be anything worse than having all our expectations on his shoulders at the starting gate; and thinking "hell can I cut it?" No way not in this game; lines too fine; we all know only too well. You cannot have self doubt for one second. For me as for Tay; if am not willing to give it all I've got - I'm best off outer here ! Nice piece from Nicolai as well; sounds to be preparing well for his return to the Elite and early season stint for us. I am confident he can get us out the blocks with some good numbers on his race card. Edited January 15, 2016 by the outsider
