Alan_Jones
So is it...if you qualify for the NL you can ride in the PL on a 3 point average?? How do the older heads in the NL qualify to ride in it?? NL riders automatically move into the PL on a 3 point average. Under 25 PL riders with an average of 4 or less are eligible to ride in the NL. They are in the current 'grey area' until we know more details of the rule.

1stBendTiger
The guy who average 2.45 is suddenly going to come good? He won't get 3.5 next year is my prediction - Id' say won't get a job but you know some mug promoter will give him one. God knows why. Maybe is young Brits were given the changes he's been given they'd be hitting the dizy heights of a 2.45 average now! I can just see the PL going into melt down because Nicki Barrett, Roland Benko, Fernando Garcia, Hynek Stichauer, Danny Massen, Rafal Konopka, Paco Castagna, Alex Edberg, ARTHUR SISSIS, Dimitri Berge and Rusty Harrison are all forced out after failing to average more than 4! Frankly, most of them are a waste of time and space, they'll never add anything to British Speedway. The suggestion that Konopka is better signing that Stef Nielsen is messed up too, even if Konopka did beat all the NL riders (and he won't) so would Stef Nielsen but Stef would also beat some 1-5 riders, Konopka won't. Got a feeling that you will be seeing Arthur Sissis back with Sheffield.

771neil
I thought number 7 was just a NL eligible rider ? I.e in NL now or under 4 pt pl rider so able to ride NL next year !!!! Should of been like El both reserves Brits but one NL eligible as I see it Nielsen, Morley, Morris, Branford and other like them who made progress last year will now struggle for team in all leagues as not NL eligible not low enough for pl and not high enough for El reserve

All of those young Brits with PL averages in and around the four-point mark will probably be seen as 'unattractive' as teams will want a strong reserve partner for the three pointers. That said Edinburgh have re-signed Max Clegg so fingers crossed the rest all get clubs.
