(the other one i cant mention for reasons only known to myself ) its been a bit qt , normally you guys are up the top of the thread and going for it . av ya enee craic fur us northern marra,s ? What is there to talk about? It's nearly the end of April and so far we've only had one official home match, because of the weather and Plymouth's Hokey Cokey situation. But to be fair the bad weather has been sporadic and localised !!! Roll on halfway through the year !!! Which it nearly will be when we get another match !!! Cliffeboy Posted April 29, 2016 Report Share Posted April 29, 2016 Very impressed with the early season form from the 2016 Rebels, long may it continue. A lot of the headlines have been about BWD and Jake and rightly so in their debut seasons, however the old boys Josh, Paul and Charlie have quietly been going about their business in an impressive manner. Josh only headed once in 10 away races, Charles improved so much he has been promoted to heat leader with Swindon ( could not believe how quick he was out of the traps at Rye ) and Paul also getting a top 5 outing for Leicester. If they continue to perform there is already the platform in place for the 2017 team. I know it is very early days but this team is already getting praise from posters on here, which is always nice , long may it continue, well done again Gary May and the team. Somerset just need to make sure in the next few weeks we win our home meetings. What, injured you say, and missing the first part of the season? Perfect rep for the Witches then.... EDIT: meant to say how pleased I am with Romance's early season form for the Rebs. He was always going to go well at home as the OTA suits his riding style well, and it should help build his, sometimes fragile, confidence up and boost his form on his less favourite away circuits. A happy, confident Chewi is a very fast and stylish speedway rider. I've been very impressed with the way he handled the two meetings against his former club and the professional manner he has commented on social media. Well done Rohan, keep it going buddy. jenga Posted May 3, 2016 Report Share Posted May 3, 2016 i have just got to say that my post was made in jest . it was a follow up of a somerset fan who posted that somerset were reaching new heights with doyle doing the gp.s last year , even though doyle was not part of the rebels team . it was a bit of phishing on my behalf . now carl stonehewer is a different thing , riding for workington and being in the gp,s at the same time . so it looks like most teams have connections with riders in the gp system at most clubs .. as i said , just phishing . ,, must have the wrong bait on .lol. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
