ruffdiamond
So i take it the rule on Aussies has changed back to a 5.00 then if so what was the point in putting up to a 7.00 last year just to change it back the following year. Or does Allen have a British great great Uncle or something nobody has told us about. Dave,,,
spin king
Sometimes before the season has even started As Ty Proctor found out to his cost.
JCookie
It's crap but they need to start again somewhere, no doubt BWD / Allen / Zach etc will be part of the future which might not be so crap.

gusworld
Looks like the weakest team I've seen assembled in a long time. The three assessed riders are unproven and will take a while to get used to PL tracks and no third heat leader. Expect some thrashings away and a lot more closer meetings at home. Can't see us winning anything with this team but at least the match scores and racing will be interesting at home.
SCB
So either Aussies are a 5 now or Somerset has messed up for the 3rd year in a row. What will it be?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
Jake Allen didnt make top 4 in Queensland so still needs to achieve that in another state final yet.... So either Aussies are a 5 now or Somerset has messed up for the 3rd year in a row. What will it be?there are a number posting that there has indeed been a rule change back to an entry on 5.Also seem to imply that cant drop below that starting 5. Further more to requalify it seems that the 7 is still required as Proctors 6.68 was not sufficient and he still required the state final place?! jenga
didn't ty win the Victorian championship and therefore is entitled to APPLY for a visa ?
RedcarRacer
I dont see the issue, as soon as the first averages come in, they will make at least one big signing to add to it, that is how I would see it. No way that team will finish the season, even if they all avoided injury.
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
didn't ty win the Victorian championship and therefore is entitled to APPLY for a visa ?yes he did but without that his 6.68 would be considered not good enough despite a new rider (apparently) only having to be good enough to be considered a 5. Baldyman
So if Australians are now a 5 again, is that going to be the same for Americans?
dontforgetthefueltapsbruv
So if Australians are now a 5 again, is that going to be the same for Americans?if so it will only be new ones and not those who are already above 5 but under 7 and without the appropriate state/national place!Makes perfect sense and is totally logical... RebelDan
Reasonably happy - you have to work within your budget, and let's face it we have terrific speedway each week win, lose or draw. Â Lots of riders with potential and they will need time to settle, much will depend on quickly BWD and Jake Allen adapt to the league.

Aroundtheboards
Well ! That was worth the wait, wasn't it ?
Rebel Warrior
Lets wait and see what happens on track shall we. At home that team is going to take some stopping. Away from home i feel is the worrying part. Â BWD and Wajtknecht will provide a decent reserve pairing and we know what to expect from Starkey and Wright. Young Allen may be a shrewd signing or may not but time will tell. The top two worries me though. Grajczonek is hot and cold and i have never been a fan of Tungate. As i said lets wait and see. Paulco
Dont see why Rebels fans are a bit wary , by miles they look to have signed the best NL 3 pointer and Wilson Dean looks to have bags of potential . This looks a pretty exciting looking side

This looks a pretty exciting looking side I'd agree with you Paulco, it could be really good and we all know that Somerset aren't afraid to wield the axe if someone isn't good enough - so im sure we will be there come the end of the season in some shape or form. Â I guess it's the lack of heat winners especially away from home that worries people at the moment. I don't know much about Jake Allen either so not sure what he's about either, but have only heard good reports.
