MattK
It could be worse, they could be trying to charge people £23 to watch domestic EL speedway. Now that would be mad! But that is for a seat in the Premium Grandstand!
mikebv
Think they would be better dispensing with the 'free' programme and knocking the 20 x £3 off the season ticket and letting you buy one if you want one.. My lad can have a season ticket for £162 with a programme he will never read never mind fill in or pay on the gate 20 times for £22 less!!! It makes speedway look expensive for such a tiny minor sport....
Agrotron
I would never buy a season ticket I can't see the value myself
KIRKYLANE
Three of my friends whom I have known for over 40 years and have never had a season ticket have now decided to have a season ticket for the first time. Why ? Because there are 30 meetings over the whole season and it is going back to what used to happen in terms of the number of meetings at your home track... Around 25 meetings a season.
SteveEvans
Sounds like a complete cock up if u ask me. Why not wait another week til the AGM & then they will know how many league meetings we will have?? Season ticket has no incentive whatsoever so nobody will buy one?? Even if it's 20 league meetings, the price is the same as if ya pay on the door for 20 meetings so where's the reward for paying up front?? And if it's still say 14 or 16 league meetings, no way will anyone shell out to get an additional 4-6 crappy Open meetings!!! Someone with no brain whatsoever has been in charge of this!!! A club trying to promote speedway and give their fans a full schedule of fixtures? How terrible!
LisaColette
I would never buy a season ticket I can't see the value myself A good promotion makes them valuable by making it cheaper than if you paid each week, or free programme each week. TMW
What if there is a merged EL / PL "Big League" with no GP riders and one rider / one team? With some PL teams on dodgy ground for the future maybe one home meeting per team is the answer. Did BV say that there will be a "maximum" of 20 meetings? Could there be more maybe? As I see it the "guaranteed" 20 meetings should ve viewed as a minimum not a fixed prediction. Leicester are moving mountains to get Doyle back and as I believe he is the highest averaged EL rider that theory doesn't have much in the way of legs
Bradford Ace
A club trying to promote speedway and give their fans a full schedule of fixtures? How terrible! How do u make that out?? We don't even know who is in the EL next year?? So my point is, how can they charge up front for 20 meetings if there might only be 14 league meetings unless quite a few PL teams move up?!?!?! KIRKYLANE
Is the new stadium exclusively for Speedway ? The whole project is Belle Vue Sports village which comprises of the Speedway stadium with a 3g pitch in the middle for use by the school next door and any other appropriate event ; a 2000 seater basketball stadium , the present leisure centre which is being upgraded and a full size 3g pitch for football etc.. Stock Cars remain at the Greyhound track The 20 does not include any BSPA shared events if we get any or internationals which are proposed
ouch
20 EL + 10NL + Craven + 2 (maybe) BSPA + 1 (maybe)FIM + 2 (maybe) Play Offs = 35 meetings. That's doubling up already even without rain offs.
B.V 72
Re Belle vue season tickets from my point of view.I will be going to every meeting and want to sit in the £20 seats and i buy a programme every match so it will cost me 20 x £23 = £460 +10 x £12 = £120 for the colts meetings total £580.A season ticket will cost me £444 so for me that is a saving of £136 so to me a season ticket is the way to go.Also if we do well again and get to the play offs the semi is inc so thats another £23 saved we did this year so why not again next year. It's also a matter of putting your club above your personal need if you can afford it - rather like a small piece of sponsorship.
Aces51
We're getting a brand new stadium with 21st century facilities and a track that we hope will provide much better racing. Most of us realise it has to be paid for and are prepared to pay a bit extra for our new surroundings. Those who want to pay about the same as at the dog track have the option to stand on the terracing.

Why looking at your prices for last year if you were lucky enougth to have 20 1st team/ ind meetings and went to 10 national league meetings paying at the gate and with no programme it would cost you £450 so my £444 inc programme does not seem that bad to me. A saving of a little over 1% for paying so much in advance and assuming you don't take a holiday or get ill and have to miss a match doesn't seem bad to you !!! Jesus I would love some customers like you
