Bradford Ace
Thought I'd start this debate after getting Belle Vue's season ticket prices for 2016. In the price they guarantee 20 home meetings. Say we don't get in the Play offs in 2016, that would mean only 14 home meetings if it's an 8 team League again. I really can't see the club managing to fit in 6 additional meetings that are just Opens & not meaningful ones?? Does this mean 3 teams are moving up to guarantee a 20 meeting home season?? Who could this be - maybe Glasgow, Sheffield, Edinburgh, Rye House?? Some of these have been rumoured before. Could be a slightly more interesting AGM this weekend after all!!!! Woz01
Certainly looks like a few extra sides next season if Belle Vue season tickets are for 20 meetings.

MattK
I can see any team wanting to step up into the debacle which is the current Elite League without significant financial incentives and I can't see any of the existing eight teams wanting to share what little cash exists with new sides. Maybe they are planning on teams riding each other home and away more than twice?
mrss
Kent have already said they intend to be in the elite league next season. So that's one new team.
Bradford Ace
Yeah I can't see 3 moving up personally but don't Sky insist on an 8 team league to show the meetings each year?? So can't see it being less than 8?? Looking forward to the breaking news at the weekend now!!
Crazy robin
Don't know where all these extra riders are coming from if more teams in the Elite League & Swindon get a new track.

MattK
Don't know where all these extra riders are coming from if more teams in the Elite League & Swindon get a new track. The usual BSPA answer is to lower the points limit. Wouldn't be surprised if it's 32 for eight teams and another two points lower for each additional team. Phil The Ace
Kent have already said they intend to be in the elite league next season. So that's one new team. Replacing lakeside so it won't be an extra team sadly
oldace
Not sure they can maintain 8 teams let alone add to it. Lakeside will race at Kent so not really an extra team. Swindon look dead in the water, certainly for next year at least and only an eternal optimist/fantasist would see that stadium ever being built. Coventry have only one season left at Brandon and still no sign of any new venue. The whole sport is on very shaky ground right now
