National league beginning to get some elite/ old elite names in it!

Belle Vue

Eastbourne

Birmingham

Coventry (maybe)

Kent (could be elite also)

Kings Lynn

Dare I say Poole should do a NL team but then they would win it all because they would somehow work Newman into the team

I didn't know about Bournmouth until I asked! Only been supporting a couple of years so didn't know they had :P

There were some murmerings of a return for Weymouth, but not sure how much truth in that?

If they did I know where I'll be going while on my summer holiday!

Only Newman? I would suggest that they would also manage to get Davey Watt as captain!!!😁

Interesting, in my opinion all Elite teams should do the same in order to give supporters a full season of racing. It would also give more British lads an opportunity of getting a foot on the speedway ladder.

Amen to that, I think every team, Elite and Premier, should have some form of junior team. Every league match should be followed by a junior meeting. Gives the fans more racing in the evening and brigs on young talent.

I remember Simon Wigg saying that every week should see a junior meeting BEFORE the main match...

His reasoning was when you go out to eat you have your main course after your starter, not the other way round and that the cinema puts the trailers on first so you build up to the main event..

He also felt that it would help them riding in front of bigger crowds and riding on a surface with dirt still on it..

He also advocated team race suits when very few others did...

He seemed to have some good ideas...

They did this at Eastbourne this year once when heavy traffic delayed the start. I thought it worked well as a kind of warm up to the main event but EL riders would probably moan about the track. National league riders seem to moan less about such things
