junior fan
Interesting theory Shads presume that would free up points to strengthen the bottom end should that prove to be the case ..Have you heard something or is that a speculative thought,????? ---you are not obliged to answer that question.. Lol where do you guys and girls make this stuff up , Rob flies out on Monday the 18th , hence my previous post re missing only 2 more meetings, and if he has a child he's keeping it a pretty big secret from his family. Junior I've had a secret stash of custard creams hidden for ages and nobody in the house has yet to find em. It's not difficult

speedibee
I don't know the ins and outs but he was declared in the team, then sold to Ipswich who loaned him to Birmingham. Whether Brum waved the chequebook is conjecture really, only Hume and the Brummies will know that. Drury Isn't famed for waving a chequebook around even if it is someone elses

waco
If Junior Fan is right and why would,nt he be,, there will be more complicated shuffles around to come in a couple of weeks ? Just hope the final side is a bit stronger to make us competitive for the fans sake,,..

I'm probably not typical but I'd rather have the current make up of the team than filling it with career NL riders. Last night's meeting had a good example of why. Despite the fact that he was one of the ones that got away, Danyon Hume was really impressive and yet, this time last year, he was one of the riders at the back struggling to stay on the bike.

Agree, Hopwood's a good NL rider but that's it. Hopefully Branford's return will coincide with him replacing Karger in the PL team, then both of our big hitters in the Raiders side will also be Rockets, which ultimately should be the point. Priest has started really well but he's too long in the tooth to go any further than the NL now too IMO.
hackneyrocket
Couldn't see the Raiders top two being in the Rockets side, where would that leave the National League side? dead in the water I think.

Don't see the current reserves improving like Danyon and Alfie have.

Wouldn't be many if any fixture clashes and we could use guests in that instance anyway.
waco
If Karger was replaced and i dont see it yet ,he should be given time to improve ,,we would have 5 points to play with and Rob is not a 5 pointer at this stage of his career....

Branford is better than Karger and has an average a point and a half lower, that frees up a point and a half to sign a better rider further up the order. If we don't sign Branford in the PL someone else will and Branford will end the season with a higher PL average than Karger.

hackneyrocket
How the heck can you tell after 2 meetings?? Quite easy! They are way off the pace unlike Alfie and Danyon at the same stage last season.
Hob Nob
Branford's on the new team declarations as an OG (out going) rider, me thinks Junior maybe mistaken! I see the usual keeping the fans in the dark still applies.

Nothing sinister at all.
