george.m
They seem to think cause they have a bit of money they can do what they want and when they don't the toys go out the pram. pathetic really. The only ones being pathetic are the narcissistic Monarchs. It's them that think "because they have a bit of money" is the driving force for the Brothers. Do they really think X number of months ago the Facennas were thinking, we have a bit of spare cash what can we do with it? Oh yes, let's show the speedway world that we have a lot of cash? Really!!! Stop gazing at you're belly buttons (nothing intended there MrB )and see the bigger picture. All I can see now is certain Monarchs starting to feel the heat! Not at all Edinburgh as a club wouldn't even consider riding on the same night as our nearest rivals. It's more principle than anything else. They now want fans to boycott Armadale as a result of this disagreement again Edinburgh wouldn't sink to such a level. The new owners bully tactics are quite frankly not on and as a club we will not lie down to them as we are better than that. They seem to think they can throw their money around and get what they want well they will soon learn that ain't going to happen that's for sure. Also other things they have done through out the season has been shocking and lacking class. For example evicting a rider from his flat and leaving him on the streets. So veiled moral high ground argument being deployed. Really you're just having a dig, be honest. Oh and didn't Edinburgh and Glasgow once ride on a Friday? If you want to talk money, have a look closer to home and get your own house in order first. Yet again this season your promotion has put together a team that revenues cannot support. Oh and then threaten closure (unless the fans stump up) at the start of the season, once the team has been assembled! If they weren't chasing glory they would have assembled a team that income can support. The big question for you guys is ... "Why did they feel the need to assemble a glory chasing team in the first place"? I wonder .....

Our promotion want to win trophies as they have stated and will not make a team that they do not think is capable of winning the league. coalman
The brothers knew it was a Sunday afternoon racing when they bought the it. So why try and change the race day

Fromafar
The brothers knew it was a Sunday afternoon racing when they bought the it. So why try and change the race day maybe cause they are listening to the fans, plus the fact Sunday racing limits the riders who are available due to foreign commitments.Thats 2 reasons I reckon.

OK, you buy a second hand car because it has a great engine and chassis but the bodywork has rust. You fix the bodywork and have a car you're happy with. Gates open at 6 but they will probably open shortly before that as that's what has happened the last few weeks and yes the Bar will be open at the same time. I'm done arguing as we just seem to keep going round in circles here. Mon the monarchs lets hammer this lot and send them on their way back down the M8.
george.m
I'm done arguing as we just seem to keep going round in circles here. No need to argue. Simple yes or no. Do you find it acceptable that the promotion put together a team they can't afford? Simple yes or no.

Simple yes or no. At the start of the season i'm pretty confident they wouldn't have put the team together if they felt it would put the club at serious risk of not running the following season. Still not answering the question of whether or not when running a speedway team YOU find it acceptable. Only need to type 2 or 3 letters, easy really

george.m
I've given my reason but just to make you happy i'll say YES just for the sake of it even though i know they wouldn't We both know that's not true. You're not that short sighted. Let's remember this discussion and if the Embra beggin bowl comes out before or during next season we can discuss again. Having said that, the largest part of Embra's expenditure won't be there next year.
