Why is Harkess still involved. He should have been sidelined and a complete new team left to run the show with new ideas and a fresh approach which is so badly needed. Good luck to the new chairman though with the tinkering with riders etc and nothing new to freshen up the various competitions, format or presentation it is a case of the status quo and more supporters drifting away. When will these people wake up?

Totally agree, the sport from top to bottom in this country needs a radical way forward.

It is just another year of the same crap and promoters crying in middle of season because they are getting low crowds yet again and may cease to exist.

So the British Under 21 Champ - a regular EL 2nd string - with an established EL average of 5.53 is on the EDR list????!!!

Must be a conversion of his PL average then :D.Hopefully get Lambert back on his conversion of his PL average if they are doing it that way 5.02 bargain :t:.You would think if they do it for one they would have to do it for the rest eg Cook,Lawson,Lambert,Kennett,Barker etc

Isn't the BSPA President more an honorary or titular type of position? Regardless though, having some long serving committee member helping the new members with the procedural things is no bad idea.

Procedural things like "Matt Ford's always put the most money into the BSPA coffers so we'll let him have that one but nobody else".

Buster Chapman is a dream appointment for British Speedway, unfortunately he's not going to be allowed to move the sport forward by other promoters.

Chairman only really get overall call on split decisions, other than that it's pretty much "as we are".

First I would like to congratulate Buster on his appointment, a brilliant ( bias) choice, and secondly to say, Hope he can sort this bloody mess out.

Why is it some teams have announced the reserves already and others are still waiting news. Surely with this sort of thing, BSPA should announce news of all teams at the same time.....

For once I agree with the BSPA, each team releases news to suit the deadlines of their own local media. Of course I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt here in assuming that's why they are doing it this way :P

It doesn't look like there's 2 tier groups for reserves.

There's probably a batch of about 15-20 British rider's with converted PL averages and those that were in the tier 2 last season will likely all be on the standard minimum of a 3 average.

It's now a free for all to sign whoever you want, they way it should be.

Will Lambert now have the option to start at reserve for KL?

Why should he, he chose to opt out of the draft? Those who are newly included, either asked or accepted the invitation.

I read that there was an extended list on tier one, as there was last year but last year any not chosen were out, whereas this year you could choose a second one if they were still available. It does affect your team building though and stronger reserves will mean a weaker main body.
