John Leslie
I was actually told that the FTR picks would take place today, but I have to imagine the person got the wrong end of the stick...surely! Right?! Don't know. It could be today for all I know.
Pirates Of Poole
Would be good to get it done and dusted today and reserves announced.
Star Lady
Would be good to get it done and dusted today and reserves announced. It would also give those riders the chance to try and get some local sponsorship which obviously is not possible until their teams are announced. Not sure the BSPA actually try and make anything easier for riders tho
Humphrey Appleby
And why should it be, as long as the Promoters know and no rider is forced out of a job if they are either not on the list or are surplus to the 24. Indeed, and by extension why does the public need to know who's riding for which team, or indeed even the scores of meetings? It's not essential to our wellbeing to try to follow the sport...
SCB
I was actually told that the FTR picks would take place today, but I have to imagine the person got the wrong end of the stick...surely! Right?! It could be done. After all they have had two weeks and teams can't really get on with team building until they know how many points are used up at reserve. That said, I'd propose they should do it via twitter again as they have done in the past. Mind you, I have heard it's not really going to be a draft but a free for all once protected riders are signed up. So who knows?!

After all they have had two weeks and teams can't really get on with team building until they know how many points are used up at reserve. As today is to ratify the rules, and rumour has it that the likes of Ben Barker, Richie Worrall, Kyle Howarth etc could be added to the draft, I reckon there could still be a fair bit of arguing to do today before they can even consider doing the draft picks

Big Al
Why am I getting a strong feeling this is all going to be a total dogs breakfast? I'd get some 13 year old to hack into the database and reveal these sacred "lists", but i think its more likely they've been scribbled down on the back on a couple of used envelopes. woodenspoon
A fairer system would be that if you claim your asset rider, and it has to be in the first pick, the 2nd pick is decided on league position with the bottom team going first. The current system does not help the bottom club, as I thought that was what original intention was.

SteveLyric2
So the British Under 21 Champ - a regular EL 2nd string - with an established EL average of 5.53 is on the EDR list????!!! ouch
Good for us as we can have Cook at reserve and EDRs use their converted PL average so he'll be just over 6. Good AGM with what looks like the end of self interest. Get in.
JCookie
So the British Under 21 Champ with an established EL average of 5.53 is on the EDR list????!!! It's drifting away from it's original purpose but is it not now just a sneaky alternative to saying clubs must have at least 2 British riders? As long as Brits get more team places then who cares, beats some of the crap foreigners we endure.
John Leslie
Swindon say the have Charles Wright as one of their reserve and are "studying the averages and rider availability" for the other reserve berth....So has there been a draft or is it just a free for all?
