uk_martin
I was shocked and saddened last night to witness the disgusting reactions each time a Brummies rider fell off. Eastbourne, some if your "fans" are a disgrace!! How often do we hear complaints about opposition fans being partisan? I don't for a minute think that Eastbourne's fans will have been cheering/jeering the fAllen rider. Far more likely that the were seeing the opportunity for their team to rack up more points. Speedway could do with more partisanship and more atmosphere on the terraces to attract more fans. If all you want to do is to politely applaud at the appropriate moments then I suggest you look out for the next chess tournament in your area.
motherread
UK Martin I have been going to speedway for years at various different tracks as a speedway fan rather than a follower of a particular team. I can assure you these "fans" were cheering when the riders fell, and making hand gestures when they (thankfully) got up! I like atmosphere and friendly banter as much as the next person and remember the days when that's what it was! This was pure vitriole and something I don't want, or expect to witness again! Adam Kirby was subjected to actual personal abuse! And this can never be acceptable!!
woofers
Apparently it went bang big time, last meeting of the season too. If he was a foreigner they'd be appeals for help all over the place already It certainly did, a big bang as he came over the start/finish line, no power to get round turn 1, so nowhere to go but the air fence. Real shame as he was flying and certainly going to smash the NL track record. Although there was a smattering of hoorays they were in response to the point dropped and nothing to do with Adam falling. Where I was there was genuine admiration for the way he was riding and the pace he was on, all from Eastbourne fans..
kitten2502
Adam Kirby was subjected to actual personal abuse! And this can never be acceptable!! Adam K has had more than his fair share of personal abuse at home meetings too - which has disgusted me. I have suggested to these "abusers" that at least he has the balls to give it a go, rather than talk about it. His Mom has also witnessed some of this abuse and given short shrift - and who can blame her. So Brummies fans - of which I'm one - think on............
TurnTwo
Loved every minute of it my kid was crying when Glenn made his speech on the centre green he's a real inspiration to everyone out there. I told them to tell everyone at Beeds when I dropped them off to get down on the 24th

catinthehat
I am going to take my big sponge hand and cut a few fingers down so they are small and wave it around and like Nikki Pedderson, lol see its all banta, riders you love riders you hate riders you just want to cuddle, Nothing wrong with a bit of banta as long as it does not get personal or with intent to hurt anyone one, Stick and Stones? Like SteveC said "There are idiots everywhere" your have to put up with it and move onto another sport other wise. Nice to see that Graham Dury said Eastbourne were the better team over the 2 legs. (Respect to the man that won the league) but just had his pants pulled done by 23 points. Good to see the Eagles wining again, One question to aske myself. Why was Niall Strudwick on the celebration walking around and looking as if he just beatean Ellis? with a neck brace on just in case he slips up on the damp grass, Most riders wash the suits to get rid of shale stains but Nialls washes his to get rid of last weeks celebrations on champange. Come on Niall dont tell me you been at the gym getting ready meantally for 2016 and working out so you can open a bottle of champange.

Eastbourne will always be better over 2 legs against any NL team because of the home track advantage--

uk_martin
And currently better strength in depth. I'd fancy a real 7 man team to prevail over a mix of 3 "original" team plus 3 guests plus R/R at any time, trick track advantage or not. catinthehat
Graham Dury was a gentleman in defeat at Eastbourne, They won the League and Eastbourne must have been a thorn in the side for them, Knocked them out the KOC, Better on 2 legs, Won the Gold cup, Better on 2 legs. Birmimgham won the league better over a season with playing RR and having a superstar in Zach. Well done to them but as gee jay said. Beaten on you home track in the First leg would have been a real killer for them. But now another trip to Perry Barr to meet Cradley seems like that and Kent are our local track lol.
