King's Lynn V Cradley (koc S/f) - 7 October 2015

Well believe it or not, there is a speedway meeting at the Adrian Flux Arena tonight.

With the announcement earlier this week that Cradley Heath are seeking a new management team for next year if the club are to continue, then this could be our LAST EVER chance to see the Heathens on a speedway track.

The forecast is for the remainder of the afternoon and evening to stay dry, albeit it getting colder by the hour. With a fairly strong wind blowing, this should enable any rain that fell yesterday and the early hours of this morning, to dry out and provide a racers race track.

The 'Young Stars' will want to be able to build up a substantial lead this evening, to take up to Perry Barr with them for the 2nd leg next Wednesday, and with a hoped for large vocal support from the terraces, this is well within the capability of the boys in Blue & White.

The line-ups are as follows: KING'S LYNN: 1) Tom Stokes 2) Scott Campos 3) R/R 4) Shane Hazelden 5) Josh Bailey 6) Layne Cupitt 7) Ryan Kinsley.

CRADLEY HEATH: 1) Max Clegg 2) R/R 3) Darryl Ritchings 4) Arron Mogridge 5) Matt Williamson 6) Jack Parkinson-Blackburn 7) Tyler Govier.

The gates open at 6.30pm with the first heat getting underway at 7.45pm.

So come on King's Lynn 'Stars' and 'Young Stars' fans, it's been a while since we saw any track action here in Norfolk (Amateur Meetings apart), so lets make it our aim to out number the usual large Cradley Heath travelling support.

It was always going to be an uphill battle against the Heathens big hitters and so it proved. The young Stars, although ravished through injuries but still battled to the end. The three final heats really gives a unfair scoreline, as the teams were a lot closer than that...... Ryan Kingsley was a revelation scoring 17 from his extra rides.

The RR and falls really took its toll on proceedings. The Ref tried to keep the meeting flowing with quick 2min warnings, but with so many missing the meeting was always going to be drawn out. Didn't realise how cold it was until back in to the car. Just pleased I wasn't one of the few Cradley supporters facing that long journey home.

Decent crowd, but how many of them were there purposely to collect their Niels tickets. Priced as they were, they were always going to go quickly. Pleased we acquired ours, but feel for those who missed out. All tickets were gone in half an hour.

Good to see Rory, Lewis Kerr and Lewis Rose in attendance to cheer the Young Stars on....
