Odds On
Riders need to be more realistic in their demands when signing for a club, surely even they must realise that the home crowds they see in front of them week in week out are not paying the bills? The promoters are losing money hand over fist and in the end it will mean that the well will run dry, are todays riders partly to blame for the state of todays speedway downwards spiral? mrcts
Do we need the top riders?. All I want is to see good racing.
Sings4Speedway
The clubs should set their budgets and stick to them. If they say "we are paying X per point take it or leave it" there might be a few unhappy riders to start with but plenty will be chasing places as the new season approaches. Odds On
In the Elite League yes. Whilst a lot of people are content with any level of rider, a large chunk of us want to see the best of the best. There in lays the whole problem with speedway, this mentality is what's killing our sport to a degree, the promoters just cant afford the demands of these so called top riders.

stevebrum
Do we need the top riders?. All I want is to see good racing. For a meaningful top flight yes we do. There are some of us (myself included) that want to see the top riders race and wouldn't go regular if they didn't ride here. We can ill afford to lose more spectators.

Mr Blobby
If a Polish rider wants to ride in the PL he can't ride in Poland at all so I extremely doubt that it's a PL side.

KIRKYLANE
Whilst there are promoters who are prepared to spend BIG monies to get a winning team then the riders will always squeeze as much as they can out of the promoters. Russell at Swindon in the local paper has said money is no obstacle for the 2016 team... amongst others no doubt
TMW
All these people wanting to see Cardiff standard meetings for NL price. Get real.....
