BWitcher
long shot but I'd hope they get that aussie commentator from the last gp, much better than shouty on comms  Folk would think he was worse than Pearson within 3GP's. He has far more stock phrases than even Pearson.  Personally I don't mind any of them.

mrlincolncity
The android tv box I mentioned earlier is a one off payment and works via your broadband, the box you buy is jailbroken and has a streamer on it from xmbc, iv got a few mates with these boxes and they all say they are brilliant bits of kit, get the fastest broadband you can and when watching any live sport, wire your connection rather than wireless, and these boxes have 1000s of channels on them, every and any sport channels you can think of, American as well and canal+ and the likes, all moviesn music channels plus channels you cant get through virgin or sky! Add your sky box or TiVo box to the android box to watch freeview and with a bit of play you can even set it up so you can record off the android box via the TiVo/sky box, my mate plugged a dvd player to it and records to disk or sd car
Starman2006
So anyone who subscribes to Sky (and lets be honest, the majority of folk do including myself) has to shell out another 20 squid a month to watch the GP's and World Cup...and a handful on here see fit to say it's great news! Well Newsflash, it's not!!!  Far less folk have BT Sport than Sky, so more viewers lost is how I see it. Sky's monthly bill (for me) is already at bursting point and I (like a lot of others) won't be shelling out another £20 from April to October. And before anyone says just move to BT instead, why would I or anyone else want to lose hundreds of channels for a pretty minor saving??? Spot on. Many many families are at breaking point now. Its called Greed.
Trees
BT sport for sky customers is another £19.99 per month!Ar*******s to that then!
Starman2006
Very good news. Bt sport is free for me as i am a Bt broadband user. So am i steve, but it would still cost me a fiver more to watch Euro football, and thats without the extra 20 quid. I have sky but don't have Sky sports anymore, if i want to watch something i'l go up the club or down the Churchill. The club have both but the Churchill have Sky and with the people they get in for the GP's it will ruin a good night. They would not be able to afford both. Sky stretches them now. pugwash
Very good news. Bt sport is free for me as i am a Bt broadband user. Pretty sure their overall coverage will be an improvement on Eurosport slash Quest. ditto
gee jay
long shot but I'd hope they get that aussie commentator from the last gp, much better than shouty on comms my bet is that most people that liked the aussie commentator did so because he was different and once the novelty had wore off would be shot down by the same people. once the complaints started coming in about not being p.c. they would have to change anyway, and that is likely to happen more on b.t than eurosport. there was the same reaction when euro sport first took the g.p's if i remember right. the first one had steve johnston and a n other who at one point after a close up of a healthy young lady getting excited by the action said " geeez the inside of that t-shirt is having a good work out " which was accompanied by johnno's attempt to smother his laughter.
Noodles
BT sport for sky customers is another £19.99 per month!Keep Sky TV but change broadband to BT or Plusnet and you'll get BT sport on sky platform cheaper than that.  By my maths I can get broadband with weekend calls and BT sport HD on sky platform for £28 (SD £26).  This compares with my current broadband provider £17.40 + an extra £19.99 SD or £23.99 HD.  Obviously you pay your sky subscription on top of both options. Woz01
You can always ask someone who has BT Sport to use their login and watch it via the BT Sport app.
Trevor
I will miss the GP's, but will keep to just my SKY subscription as I enjoy team racing far more than individual racing.

flagrag
One of the big downsides I can see from this deal is Cardiff this GP attracts a large amount of armchair viewers for their annual day out these people don't visit tracks but enjoy the GP on TV. Â Obviously BT sports viewing figures are a lot lower than Sky sports and Eurosport so will these armchair viewers still be interested enough to go Cardiff. Â With regards to commentators a lot depends on the reports of BT wanting to pick up some league racing if they go the full way and get own comms for that then may do GPs as well if not it will be the world feed for all rounds apart from Cardiff and UK World Cup when Darren Fletcher will step in

Are Eurosport keeping SEC or is that going to BT too?. The SEC is a pan-European contract so every chance Eurosport will keep that- doesn`t automatically mean that British Eurosport will show it- but I would think they would. mrlincolncity
And if you want a Ferrari just go to you local dealership, test drive one and never take it back! Â Equally as legal as the quoted post. its legal to view the streams due to running xmbc, why would amazon risk selling illegal devices? The dodgy part is running xmbc on a jailbroken device, normally you pay for that programme, but jailbroken, you don't, its already on the tv box, you pay for the broadband to watch the stream, and you pay for the tv box. Nothing illegal about it at all So, given they're android devices can I checkout what's available on by tablet before shelling out on one? Â Niamh Any channel you want can be added to the box, most boxes have just about any channel you can think of, but my mate didn't have the f1 channel on his, so via a search menu on xmbc he simply added it himself, its that simple, google it, have a look
OveFundinFan
I may be fortunate that my contract with Talktalk for phone/broadband expires in 15 days time. I could follow someones suggestion and join Plusnet and get BT Sport for an extra £5pm. For the next 4 days Plusnet is doing free broadband for 18 months (then £10 month), so adding BT Sport for £5pm is a no brainer. Of course I could go to BT who do their BT Sport for a fiver and loads of hotspots for mobiles. Time to research and do some thinking
crazysue
Hmm, that's me beggered then for watching any kind of speedway on television...absolutely no way I am paying an extra £20 a month for a couple of meetings.
