To The Point
Care to comment on the barring of Glasgow connected people from Armadale? Is that petty by the promotion? Dont forget isn't it Glasgow that banned one of it's oldest fans
damosuzuki
Speccy's greet re-tweeted by SpeedwayGB I see. Lol. * I can't believe that in thirty years as a speedway promoter, and given all the banning etc done this would 'astonish' him. Popular Post ragdoll64
Been a Tigers fan since 1964 and this whole debacle is truly sickening me. Absolute pettiness FROM BOTH SIDES and it ain't doing Scottish speedway any good whatsoever. Time they all got a grip before it's too late.

mac101
Good chance of a live sky match now between them but as they usually show on Monday nights can't see it being at Armadale as think they can only run Friday and Saturday Edited March 7, 2016 by mac101
tyretrax
Edinburgh press release regarding race night, strange that they insisted on Glasgow running on the Friday for the Play Off Final. OPENER NOW ON FRIDAY 1stThe Border Roofing Monarchs have switched their opening home match of the season to their more normal Friday race night, 1st April.Previously it had been announced that Belle Vue would visit on the following night, but travel problems for some of their side who have commitments in Poland on the Sunday have brought about the change.Explaining the move, co-promoter Alex Harkess said, "Belle Vue were in touch at the end of last week raising doubts about their ability to send the team to us that they had originally suggested. That concerned me as some of the prime attractions of their team could have been missing. Rather that wait to see how it would develop we have taken the decision to move the date now, long before the event so that there is no confusion as we approach the opening night."Alex added, "I was always wary about opening our season on a Saturday as it sends out the wrong signal as to what our race day is. We'd only done it at the request of the Aces in the first place. We've been a Friday night race track for almost forty years now and everyone knows that so I'm happy now that we'll be opening on that day."The Club apologises for any inconvenience caused.Tickets will go on sale at 5.00pm on Monday and the good news is that thanks to sponsorship from Border Roofing they will be held at normal prices and the even better news is that there is no increase in prices for the coming season from the 2015 level.. Gazc
That's the one for the belle vue match the other press release about Glasgow statement is on the Edinburgh thread. Seen it you wouldn't expect him to say anything else though would you the pettiness from both sides is getting slightly tiresome now. Totally agreed the whole saga is getting tiresome, but as he says a simple phone call would have stopped all this, who would of thought. Mr Blobby
They would probably still have said no Probably, but all this should have been dealt with privately rather than turned into a public spat.
george.m
Totally agreed the whole saga is getting tiresome, but as he says a simple phone call would have stopped all this, who would of thought.I don't disagree with that for one minute, but and I'm making an assumption here, the BSPA should have contacted Edinburgh.Glasgow chose to do things through official channels rather than speak to Embra (rightly or wrongly), so the BSPA should not have agreed to the date proposed. Which has absolutely nothing to do with Glasgow.
TheScotsman
Bspa should have sorted out the dates & venues before the PL fixtures were finalised.

Correct the BSPA should have worked with the clubs to find the best possible date to run the meeting instead we've ended up with this mess.
george.m
Bspa should have sorted out the dates & venues before the PL fixtures were finalised.Totally agree. Fixture process should work on a pyramid basis from top down. Not top down and bottom up simultaneously and hope to meet in the middle.
