Glasgow 2016

Recommended Posts

It worked for us because the top 4 put over 4 points on their averages with cookie adding more than a point.

Not sure the top 4 in that post could do that.

True but If you look at Worrall and Barker I can see 2.5 - 3 points between them on there averages as it stands and Rich & Spud maintaining there's really depends who comes in at the bottom end.

Adam Ellisl for example will add significantly to his average of which is around 4.3 currently.

Unless of course he goes to Armadale and does a Two Kevs.

James Sarjeant now announcing he won't be a Tiger next year.

Good luck James.

Once a Tiger, always a Tiger!

In reality Sarjeant only showed anything when the season was drawing to a close. Yes he did get us a decent result at Somerset but struggled in the main body otherwise and doesnt offer value on his current average. I havent mentioned the starting issue either!

I agree Ellis should put on a point + if he's not at Ippo again.

Never seen him go well there.

Ellis was not at Ippo last year as he rode Lakeside and Birmingham...................

Anyway not sure what his plans are other than being our reserve with Kyle Newman

I liked him. And who could ever forget the PL Final leg at Ashfield when Craig Cook fell on his butt whilst chasing him!

Sure but he was frustrating as well with his starting technique which lost us more points than gained over the season. He's another that could progress with the right influence and guidance, not Havelock who can barely string a coherent sentence together.

Not saying young James is going to be a top rider but given that he is a young up and coming rider my own thoughts are that with the learning curve and gaining more experience he will be a very polished performer.

Remember you will always get inconsistent performances from the majority of youngster's and as they gain that experience they will iron out there inconsistent tendancies.

I really thought he would be back on 4.88 for me it was a no brainer as he will only improve and is very stylish for a kid but I wish him well wherever he ends up just wish it was with us.

Aaron is a predictable , but welcome opening signing . Not surprised James and Victor wont be with us next year . James missed too many Friday away meetings due to his Coventry commitments , we cant have that any more . Similarly Victor missed midweek fixtures because of Swedish meetings . We need seven riders who Glasgow have first call on .

Can see Victor ending up at Rye House , had easily his best away meeting there

Big fan of Sarjeant as well, he's really learning. The gating thing made me laugh. I seem to remember Cook was known for this at one time.

The kid has lightening reactions, gives 100% and the crowd baying for his blood didn't bother him. As proved at home to Edinburgh in the PL final. Tbh I thought we'd keep him - but if we sign Barker and Worral it was mathematically impossible to keep all three of Lawson/Summers/Sarjeant. Good luck James.

That is the one thing that fans want to see their 7 riders every week!!

Exactly , I've nothing against Glasgow riders doubling up , but I want us to have first call on their services

And a p*ss poor bottom end?

Not really, as everyone is getting the same choices at #7. Still about 7.5 points for the other two if predictions re: the top 4 are correct. We rarely had a full side for the majority of season after Kozza and Nicks injuries,Kauko's misfortune and Victor's other commitments. Amazed we did as well as we did tbh.
