Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..

Yeh and you had plenty of time to ask Dak, but clearly you bottled through fear of being made look stupid.

There is no need to ask ..he stay in England played golf went down the pub and rode in a speedway final ....he had already give us the answer . Just like Matt Ford little point in getting answers to someone you don't believe in anyhow .

And ? all it means is the reason North has given to Swindon ...that does it is is gospel or the whole story ....how naïve speedway fans can be sometimes it's unreal ...

So why exactly do you think he's not coming over? He'd have already sorted equipment for the season ahead.

Or as was described at the time as life changing.

The reason Dak is staying behind isn't because of the original injury. He had contracts sorted in Europe but his dad then suffered another injury (maybe his previous injury didn't help) so he's staying behind. He wouldn't stay behind unless he felt he needed to as he would certainly have equipment sorted already. Edited by woz01

It's possible the severity of the original injury contributed to the further setback of the fall.

If it's serious enough for Dak to stay at home then that's good enough for me.

Like I said pages back, good luck to him in whatever he now chooses to do.

So when are Swindon going to name RIcky Wells as the replacement ?

Seriously though he is a vastly underated rider and like Dakota he has a 5.91 average and rode most of those meetings as a heat leader for Wolverhampton. Maybe his away form isn't what it should be but he is still a young man despite his experience and is more than capable of holding down an Elite League berth.

Vaclav Milik or Mikkel Michelsen could be good singings but RIcky is based here

Could have Kasper Gomolski, i thought he did extremely well last season.

Well he did OK in patches.... Fortunately for the Pirates he finished the season strongly. Had he continued with his form leading up to the play offs, there would have been plenty calling for his head!

Guess all will depend whether Swindon want a rider already riding & based in Britain like Tungate or a foreign rider who will incur travel costs extra.

Michelsen must be an option as he flies round The Abbey.

Michelsen is very decent, Tungate i like he has improved not keen on Wells who has been mentioned. Edited by Sidney the robin

Nothing personal against Tungate but it's a move that has taken Swindon from play off certainties to also rans. He will need to get dialled in at home v.quickly.

They may well qualify for the Play Offs but there is a lot of pressure now on Morris and 'his mate' to score highly both home and away but given their inconsistencies this will be above them.

Wells would, for me, have been a better signing and added some depth to the team with his EL experience.

Overall, for me a disappointing signing and I hope he and the team prove me wrong. Too close to call with regards the play offs.
