Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..

Recommended Posts

That's where you have it all wrong. The accident should have not had any influence on Ford getting a facility. It was yet another stroke pulled by the ultimate cheat in speedway. North was just the pawn.

The real issue being considered was that it was said only one poster mentioned it, which clearly Gemini and Orion are others were wrong and/or selectively forgetful about. My post showed it covered many posts, many days and many posters, but some would say it only applied to one poster. Yea right.

Perhaps if you had read it first, and not jumped on the bandwagon, it wouldn't make you look the fool. That's where YOU had it all wrong. The validity issue was not what was being discussed.

Am pleased that Morra is back for 2016, but I don't think anyone expected otherwise...

A shame that we have such a big 'Hans Andersen' sized gap in the 2016 line up !

Hopefully Rosco will save the best until last,,

2 falls per meeting as a heat leader. Only one fall as a 2nd string!! :D:cheers:

Poor Dak is back home looking after his dad and all you can do is 'have a pop' at him for falling off...

I think he deserves better than that given the circumstances..

Is he yet another ex Pirate 'used and abused' and ruthlessly thrown away.. ;););):D

I know what your post was about . If you had looked you might have noticed the part I highlighted and responded to.

But then you are not known for reading and digesting other members posts are you.

How much longer are you going to continue supporting this fairy story?

I had a good look and I still find one post when anyone said that the accident never took place as you said .It was as I remember people not understanding why North never went home rather than playing golf and riding speedway and also Wondering why Poole got a guest if the accident was not bad enough for North to catch the first plane home .

Ford who can't be trusted making a statement does not prove anything or change anyone views of what happen .

Read them again then. There were several mentioning and doubting the situation.

You said that they said it never happened ...I read them and they doubt how bad it was and quite righty as North stayed in the uk ...Ford statement changes nothing and no one should feel that they were wrong or foolish .

I felt for North at the time and still do now.

It's obvious that his dad was and has life altering injuries.

It's no wonder Dak's head wasn't fully in the game and hence the rumour that he isn't probably returning to the UK next season.

I wish him and his dad well.

The Poole situation with the injury was all politics.

The last signing is a real biggy as the riders named have potential but will be very inconsistent.

Who that rider is apart from Michelsen then I've no idea but when Rosco signed Josh then our options became limited so he must have a plan

I've been saying Michelsen all along, can't think of anyone else who'd fit and be likely to improve as much.

Best thing for Swindon as far as Zengota is concerned is a year out on loan as a heatleader then coming back in 2017 with a more realistic average.

If we sign Michelsen, then Grajzonek will have to ride as a heat leader, so what we gain with one hand we lose with the other.

We need a rider with an average over 6 and who can hold their own in a heat leader position. The only rider I can think of who fits that description is MJJ.

I don't agree, would rather see a side that will give their all for Swindon....just don't see MJJ fitting that mould and has a habit of going missing all too often in UK.

If Dak could be persuaded I'd welcome him back. If not Michelsen is the only other one I can see that could make us a force. Would give us the best No.1 in the league backed up by riders all capable of improving on their starting average.

As gutted as I am that Zengi isn't back with the Robins, it makes sense and enables more strength in depth. Hopefully he'll be racing in UK next season, and who knows, maybe back in 2017

The problem with the present points limit is that many of the no 2 & 4 riders have an unrealistic green sheets average. Zengi is one & he is close to becoming a 1st string rider but he needs another season. Unfortunately, his average made it impossible to bring him back next season, once Doyle was signed. Hopefully, he will get a season on loan next season in a 1st string position.
