Swindon 2016 - A New Era Starts...we Thought..

Sorry for seeming dum, but what did batch actually say that has got so many people irate?

"When yer' best mate's in a wheelchair and the track's crap what do you expect?". It was the follow on from his ultra crap performance in the semi against Belle Vue. And he 's supposed to be a captain! totally immature and unprofessional.

Zengy is fully committed and should be an automatic pick, he wants to ride for Swindon, Batch doesn't, and they would probably lose even more fans if he is included in next season's line-up.

Speedway is all about getting riders who might improve their average & Troy might but Zengi won't for me.

That said I'd rather have Zengi especially as we'll be on the track he likes.

He also sarcastically thanked the fans for their support after his name was announced which was a mixture of boo's and ironic cheers. He then said ' in any case it's my life and if I think it's dangerous out there then that's my choice'. Scandalous.

It's not all about that if they're total tw@ts and don't do anything for team-spirit and pish most of the fans off though!

Batchelor won't improve. He's lost his bottle.

If the format reverts to a more conventional one, batch will score more without any improvement as a rider. Zengota will struggle to maintain his regardless of format. Can understand why Swindon fans want rid, but fact is batch is on a bargain average, whereas zengy is on an inflated average.

Yeah Batch still in the team, still riding at The Abbey, tootling round in front of 500 fans, as the other 2000 who were at the Farewell have had enough of being buggered around! If Swindon don't move into the new stadium cant see Elite speedway being viable as they wont have enough fans or money to pay the riders again. Remember the Patch era, the sponsors wont keep bailing them out again.

Was great to see Briggo, Broady, Crashby, Dukey, Keener etc., again, reminders of much better times and packed terraces on a Saturday night at the famous old stadium.

Even the back-straight bogs were fashionable then!

Swindon speedway club and Tezza should be looking at clubs such as Poole and Glasgow to see how they still attract good and increased numbers and keep the fans happy. Bloody shambles up at The Abbey IMO.

There's plenty of other ways to spend 17 quid.

Did he really ever have it ? He never really mixed it up at the Showground, was a bit of a gating tart..

Think you are probably right Blu. I saw him myself riding for the Panthers at the EOES and he really did look good. When Swindon re signed him I was chuffed and was quite prepared to forgive him for throwing his toys out of his pram for similar childish comments that he had made following his release and the inspirational signing of Zagar.

Equally, I have always said, when the going gets tough, even on his own manor, he pulls out.

Also remember him easily beating Leigh Adams by a long-way at The Abbey when riding for Poole. He's a GP rider should be in top 10 averages, seems to be going the same way as riders such as Bjerre and Lindgren. He was a different rider when Darky was riding for Swindon, perhaps lost his confidence. A change of club may benefit him.

Scandalous? Really? Or a rider standing up against promoters who think they can produce any old crap track and expect riders to get on with it? Too much of get on with it we've only got to get to heat 10.

Batchelor was a one season wonder when he seemed to truly up his game throughout Europe but since has returned to a rider that is below standard leader throughout Europe.

And the sort of rider that no fan seems to want to in their team.

I've heard rumours he's signing for Wolves, replacing Fast Freddie as number 1, and skipper as well.
