theblueboy
But that is now Sid. I agree there have been other failures but we are talking about why we won't be in the play offs. The failure to win at home has been the reason and in each of those matches it is Tungate that has significantly underperformed.

Agree totally & if would've allowed Nick to get a potential slot in the Premier League. Nick has lost out on track time & I think he should be kept but only as a 3rd heatleader in 2017. Would rather have him than any of the other 3 Aussie's in the team apart from Jason.
hagonshocker
Although JG was poor at Coventry his home form has been excellent especially last few months he just needs consistency and to get that I think he needs stability EL wise great little rider in there and you never know could do a Doyley yet, and for those reasons he would stay in my team I also agree with some Tungate was the obvious choice when his average looked inflated and was also all at sea at home but he has generally mastered the place and his average has stayed above 6 pushing 6.50 so basically job done but I did see the logic in the idea of replacing back when
Sidney the robin
Because he isn't a second heatleader, but his average would have allowed us to bring one in.Rosco did say i think unless he could get a big hitter in and another that could be a way to go.Pk would not agree, Magic would say no Shamek for me was the only option maybe with another maybe Millik? as a example.Without a top rider coming in supporting Doyley this side is barely play/off material in my book. Agree totally & if would've allowed Nick to get a potential slot in the Premier League. Nick has lost out on track time & I think he should be kept but only as a 3rd heatleader in 2017. poolebolton
Hahahaa, you will never get Magic. He is Poole through and through. I do appreciate that Swindon is pretty much the best place to live after Poole. So you could attract big riders. PK said I will ride but he wanted 4K a meeting!!!! You can have a Poole asset on loan but this time of year you are talking big bucks. You did for Darcy and Matt only let him get back to racing again. I mean Darcy was about to sign 4 year contract with Poole. Lots of big riders have certain clubs. Poole have Holder, Lindback,Magic, Shamek, Milik and Dudek. That's some big names. You also sell well live in Poole it's nice and hey give it a couple of years we could have something going up against the NSS. Would love to see Swindon be up there will Poole as the southern teams. Lakeside will never match. Swindon has a lot of potential and with new owners hopefully you can get there. You need Rosco to build you an asset base considering at some stage there is going to be squad system.

orion
Blueboy is correct in saying we should have replaced Tungate at the time as his home form at the time has cost us our play off place ..Matt Ford for all his faults would be ruthless if it was him and would have made the change ..trouble is that is all history now and we can only make changes on what is happening now and at this present time. Tungate for all his lack of track craft is gating like a demon and scoring well while sedgeman has just given up so he should be replaced . On another note and maybe it's just me but it looks Rosco looks has lost his enthusiasm for the job ...massive fan of Rosco but it looks like he almost accepts defeat after defeat ..most unlike him . Ovalman
Swindon is the best place to live after Poole? Really? I'm a Swindonian but I can think of plenty of other places I'd rather live!Swindon is the bestest place to live for me...central for most places, surrounded by great countryside and some splendid village pubsand the Cotswolds, the downs, thames/Kennet and Avon canal, we have the delightful magic roundabout what more could you want. I like living in Haydon End. Recently voted 27 in best places to live, although the town centre is a bit crap. Bournemouth Poole came only 46th. Hahahaa, you will never get Magic. Swanage is superb though. Edited August 10, 2016 by auntie doris

Doyley & Rosco don't get on that well most of the time & the Aussie's usually side with Jason when it comes to set ups etc is what I was told. That & the fact that Nick & Josh especially are always changing bikes in meetings si are always chasing the set ups. This team was short of a 2nd heatleader & the riders were quick to say they weren't a Premier Lge select side with each decent result. Sadly the fight & battling we expected from a team of Aussie's hasn't been there when they miss the gate.

Rosco like most fans is deflated by no movement on the new stadium, will he carry on as team boss, wouldn't be surprised if he walked away. hyabb17
JK has just become available, he wouldn't be bad signing. Can ride big & small tracks, we have wolves away & also has bikes over here.
Gresham78
Whilst I agree that Rohan's struggled at Blunsdon for most of the season and that has cost us I think the lack of support for Jason at the top end has been a major problem. I really expected (as I'm sure Rosco did) that Nick and Josh would have pushed on this season and both been on 7 point averages. Nick has clearly suffered through lack of time on the bike as his move into racing in Poland doesn't seem to have worked (but I wouldn't criticise him for that - he's trying to further his career) and Josh has been very inconsistent and I feel we have haven't seen the best of him. Surprisingly I think the 'Team Australia' spirit hasn't really happened and I really thought that would be a big feature of the team this year. And I agree with Orion about Rosco; I think his enthusiasm has waned a bit. As was said I'm sure he's become frustrated like the rest of us with the lack of prrogress with the new stadium. I think there needs to be a rethink about the make up of the team for next season and much as I like him I think it might benefit Nick if he moved to a diffrent team next year - a change of scene could be the boost his career needs.

Tungate got blamed but Morris and sedgy have not performed all year ? Tungate is now performing.Tell me Orion when you wanted Tungate replaced who was it you wanted to replace him.?At that time of the year it is nearly impossible to get a replacement there is not a magic wand very difficult indeed.Sedgy and Morris for me have been disappointing all year not there fault both not sharp anough Tungate is a scapegoat but he has rescued his season Morris and Sedgy have not.
