A ORLOV
Hardly any meetings run in March and October but they should be making an effort to run as many meetings in the school holidays to attract bigger crowds. The lad next door loves speed way but isn't allowed to attend if school next day. Very little interaction between riders and fans, especially the kids, and crowds continue to fall with no new stadium in sight. Needs drastic overhaul of Elite League I Agree, during the school holidays the riders should go into the crowd after the meeting, those needing to rush away accepted, to sign autographs, race rubbishs etc, in fact they should also do it occasionally throughout the whole season. A youngster getting to wave to the riders will remember it for one season, if they get their tee shirt signed they will remember that for ages.
oldswindonsupporter
Back in the day, it was common for rider's to appear in the bar, some perhaps indulging more than others... however, in this age, not many riders are local to the track they ride for and they all have agenda's and the next meeting to rush off to. I totally agree, things were more social and fan / spectator inclusive than now....the PR that can be obtained from socialising for the younger brigade is huge and that is of course, where tomorrow's supporters will come from plus it means that mum / dad or both will be coming back to the next meeting because junior has met his idol and all that.
Ovalman
Rosco is a big Swindon Wildcats fan, so is well aware of fan/player interaction at the ice arena. With a new commercial manager and co-owners havent seen much improvement as yet, the Adver does its best to promote speed way but they have falling readership numbers. I don't think many fans were too enthused with this year's Aussie side. Can remember getting Briggos autograph in the pits, too in awe to say anything to him.
Sidney the robin
Would all you Robins fans make a change now? it would have to be 2 i would imagine.? Or is it to late now Poole/Leicester (Home) Kings Lynn, Lakeside, Wolves,Belle Vue (away) play/offs gone now maybe a chance if we make changes. Unless Rosco gets the team together and gets them to sort out their bikes or themselves then yes, If possible make two changes what is there to lose. I was going to go to Coventry last night but am really glad I did not. If the team performance does not improve at our two away meetings next week, and note that when we are at Belle Vue Somerset are riding that night, I would predict the crowd at Blunsdon will be well down for the visits of Poole and Leicester. Yes, yes & yes as now have nothing to lose after 3 heavy away defeats. The team was always short of a 2nd heatleader & the riders were always going to be too inconsistent. The Leicester crowd could be under 1000, will this be the shabby farewell meet?

We could have done with the changes for this week when we had 3 away meetings on biggish/big tracks. We will now lose all 3 and it will be pointless. Absolutely zero back up to Doyley away from home in the heat leader positions and only Killer or Zengi would solve that problem IMO.
noggin
Don't want to keep banging the same old drum, but the team was crud in march, should have had a reliable back up to Doyle, not Roscos mates, have any changes been discussed or are we meandering to the end, could have looked into bringing someone like bjerre in a month ago, was michelsen spoken too at start? has a very attractive average, doubt it as all been done on the cheap.

orion
Swindon should make changes for sure ...Sedgeman has check out and needs to be replaced asap if we have any chance of making the play offs rather than giving up ..shocking attitude . I have had high hopes for Nick Morris but not sure he is going to make the step up ..one good meeting and then 3 bad onesall the time . reckon might be good for Swindon and for Nick for them to part as it's all gone a bit stale

Sedgy has surprised me up until the last few meetings as he was doing better than I expected him too but he looks completely shot at the moment. Nick needs a year away as well next season but I certainly wouldn't give up on him long term. Problem is he might get his average down so low that we will just have to use him next season. Yea spot on the trouble is with Nick is that same conundrum at the end of each season ...For me he had to many chances and a break would be good for him and Swindon . I feel a bit for Morris. He did the right thing (like Cook) at the start of the year in ditching the easy route of PL security to try and progress his career and you have to applaud both for that. Since Morris got let down by Poland he is struggling for race time and that shows. Don't think he needs a move personally .
theblueboy
In all honesty, we have missed the boat. Tungate should have been replaced when he had an artificially high average. That would have allowed for a reasonable rider to replace him, given decent back up to JD and shunt everyone down in the order. Now, he is actually performing so it would be harsh to make him the scapegoat. Now, we are up to our necks in the brown stuff and confidence is low. Yet again, poor managerial decisions have been made in allowing under performing riders to remain in the team when strong decisive action was required. Morris has been the biggest disappointment without a shadow of doubt but I am not sure I agree he should move on next season. Russell and Rosco need to make him the number one priority and get him fixed up properly whether it is here, on the continent or both. Excluding JD, Zengi and PK he is the only asset we have that could be a decent rider. Edited August 9, 2016 by theblueboy

Why should Tungate of been replaced? that would not of been the answer we had problems elsewhere in the team as well.At that time for me Tungate,Morris,or Sedgy could of all gone the last six weeks Tungate has been getting it together in both leagues.Maybe there should of been a plan in place so maybe a change / or changes could be made say around the home Kings Lynn meeting now the chance has gone i believe. theblueboy
At the time Sidney, Tungate was dreadful. He had a decent spell at reserve but that's not what he is in the team for. We have lost 4 meetings at home. Tungate's scores were; Wolves 0 Poole 2 Leicester 1 Belle Vue 2. Now given that we are struggling to make the play offs and in each of those matches we lost by 4,2,2 and 6. If he had ridden to his average we would have not lost 3 of those matches. In a season of fine lines, decisions, however difficult they are, have to be made. It's not personal, but we cannot win the league from 5th place. A change, when his average was high 6 should have been made. The fact he is now performing is irrelevant. The damage has been done.

What you are missing is other riders were not doing the job either.A scenario put to you just say North was here instead of Tungate this team shape ability is not good enough to reach the play/offs.For me we have no real number 2 back up to Doyley, Nielsen also has punched well above his weight at times. If we reach the play offs say with a couple of changes I would rather have Tungate in the side than Sedgy and Nick people forget there was more than just one crack in this side. MattK
Why should Tungate of been replaced? Because he isn't a second heatleader, but his average would have allowed us to bring one in.
