remembertheracers
Ah I see. The averages on the Swindon website were only up to wednesday 13th April. The home defeat on 14th hadn't been included when I looked. Swindon's website is generally very poor, a missed opportunity in promoting the club. van wolfswinkel
I actually believe Charlie can mix it with most, the worry i have with him it takes him a ride or two sometimes to get dialled in.Really enjoy watching him ride a really decent rider even on a bad day a 100 per trier. He has come along way since 2003, when i first see him ride at Buxton when his brother was a CL star. First watched Charles in 2004 second-half junior races up at Worky when big bruv James rode as a young reserve for Worky, brilliant racer. Don't know what happened to James? should have been a top rider by now, had a spell at The Abbey a few years back, then stopped racing. Won the PL riders title at Swindon as well. A ORLOV
Jason scoring ok in Poland for Micky Mouse Gora this afternoon getting 122331- 12+1. For Somerset - Peterborough Josh 11+1, Charles 10+2, Rohan 10 in a win 37 - 53. Looks like the EL has a week off, only KL - Poole scheduled for wed on sky, It is a pity we do not have a lower league team nearby for when we have breaks. A ORLOV
ROAD WORKS WARNING for any fans coming to Swindon who use the A419 dual carriageway from the M4 all the way to the M5 Junction 11A. Roadworks will cause the closure of the road overnight from 8pm for 6 weeks from tomorrow tues , so if you use this road work out an alternative route home rather than following the diversions, some of which will be through Swindon. They are saying they are going to close the road in sections so you will need to check out whatever information you can get hold of and have various alternative routes to bypass the works. A second period of 6 weeks at the end of August will also see overnight closures. Edited May 3, 2016 by A ORLOV

Sidney the robin
Has Wright done his 2 home and 2 away qualifying meetings as EDR yet?? If not, he should stay at reserve for the time being at least.I don't know what other Robins fans think, but is Charles Wright becoming a real crowd pleaser.I think so i put him up there ( which is a honour) with the Kilbs, Broady,Hitch,Keen,Crash,Wellie,Bouchard,Mastrup,Mconnell and endless others. A real racer fans can identify with him hope he stays at Swindon for number of years to come. Anzum
Last night his ride to hold off Harris and King was a cracking one.
Gemini
Yes it was very impressive. I wonder what he did to his bike after his first two pointless rides ~ whatever it was it worked.
Anzum
KK must have done something similar! I thought Wright's ride plus Morris's in the last heat to keep Harris out and get the 4 points were very good. Sedgmen's ride in heat 4 to go round Sargeant and Garrity on bend 3/4 and Harris's immaculate ride to get passed both Robins in heat 7 the highlights.

Grachan
So which part of the road will be closed first? Any ideas?
A ORLOV
So which part of the road will be closed first? Any ideas? Seems to be from M4 to hospital roundabout but you would need to check road works updates each thursday or have worked out an alternative route if you hit a major diversion. A ORLOV
New co-owners at Swindon http://www.swindonrobins.co/news.php?extend.2667 And here... http://www.swindonadvertiser.co.uk/sport/14468348._Robins_looking_to_learn_from_Wildcats_/?ref=rss&utm_medium=twitter&utm_source=twitterfeed It would be great if they can promote the sport locally as that is something that has been missing. What happened to the shop in the middle of town where they were going to share a premises with football and ice hockey? They could have shown clips of the speedway and had offers for the public and occasionally a speedway rider there with his bike. There are plenty of empty shops available. I am surprised how many people in Swindon do not know we have a speedway team. Do the above have a couple of spades as we need to see the new stadium started with confirmation that speedway will be there.

Hopefully this consortium will help to push through the new stadium too.
