hagonshocker
This wouldn't have been so bad if it was announced last week when first mentioned but to leave it till the day of the meeting is once again treating the fans like idiots. Mate nail right on the nead!! I advocated that Nick rode for the Poles to save getting flak from them as they are ruthless and manipulative but this should have either been sorted last week or if what i suspect has happened and it WAS arranged in advance then at least announced well before today...smacks of something rather secretive going on and a bit insulting to Rebels/Robins supporters paying earned money to watch this..couldnt give a crap what the likes of Orion think being only a 'friendly' like his opinions really count! As for Bewitcher well do we really have to bother arguing with him?! Fans shouldnt keep being informed on the day of the meeting and if we had been told he would be riding for the Poles with warning i dont think most would had been that upset....i wouldnt had been good luck to him

I totally agree that Swindon have handled this situation appallingly.. I don't agree that it's a disgrace if Morris rode for Wroclaw. racerback
is this the final nail in the coffin for uk speedway when the poles can dictate when we can use riders who are contracted in our country poland flexes it muscles and the uk bows down have to feel sorry for morris but really this should not be allowed to happen

Grachan
While Swindon fans complain about only bring informed on the day, it could be worse. You could be a Somerset fan. The Somerset website still has Morris down as riding. At least the Swindon website indicated there were doubts with a 'tbc' previously. Nick has done what is needed for his career & I think we would all pretty much have done the same. I just don't agree that it had to be left till the day of the meeting & you're right Graham the Somerset fans should be hacked off as Nick is highly thought of by them. The Poles were never going to bow down & he needs Poland & Sweden to make the next step in his career. Let's hope this is the only time it happens this season. Be very afraid - Debbie Hancock will not be pleased!! She was stitched up by Plymouth as well so I bet she isn't very happy. Still a night of watching Doyley & Killer going head to head is worth looking forward to as a small consolation. Mate nail right on the nead!! damosuzuki
This won't happen with league fixtures etc, so that's not something I'd worry about. But Swindon's PR is terrible yet again. They have ballsed up all the stadium communication and then this. It is never a good idea to keep either your employees or customers in the dark. BuzzCagney
It doesn't really feel like much of a new era. More like the same old, same old.
van wolfswinkel
Sounds like a bit of a balls-up at Somerset and Belle Vue, where 6000 turned-up at the new stadium. Hope there weren't too many Roobins fans wasting money travelling down to Zummerrzet. The season has hardly started and the sport is already shooting itself in the foot. Hoping for 2 decent matches against The Knobs over Easter with ok weather to get the fans in.

Hardly a balls up at Somerset seeing as the track was fine and a rider was injured and had to be taken to hospital. Belle Vue well yes that was a balls up
A ORLOV
Hardly a balls up at Somerset seeing as the track was fine and a rider was injured and had to be taken to hospital. Belle Vue well yes that was a balls up The issue at Somerset was the situation that they only had one ambulance which caused a long delay following the unfortunate accident to Jake, which luckily seems to not be so bad as first thought. Then the curfew came into play. No track should run with one ambulance, especially if the hospital is miles away. Could you imagine a football match being held up due to an ambulance taking an injured player to hospital

Do you expect teams in the Premier and National to be able to afford two ambulances because I don't. A number of PL clubs have facilities already in place to cover for an ambulance leaving the track and in particular both Berwick & Scunthorpe have purchased ambulances pre-season to provide cover in need: http://berwickbandits.co/article/bandits-boss-buys-ambulance http://scunthorpescorpions.co/?p=4801 Currently, the minimum Medical Requirements are one ambulance, driver and attendant, but this could be under review. I understand what you are saying but there could be a major problem if more than two riders need to be taken to hospital urgently at the same time.

I think it does need consideration as I said I agree there should be two. I just don't think it should be counted as a balls up by Somerset when they stuck to the rules. More of a balls up by the powers that be that set the minimum that low in the first place. Edited March 20, 2016 by Brummie Rebel

Steve0
I see Plymouth have pulled out the league - so Stefan (and others) will be looking for new PL team! Sad news for speedway and I hope the riders get fixed up quickly. Edited March 22, 2016 by Steve0
