Losing Kus is not the end of the world. Far better riders out there imo.

How about this line up.

Josh Grajczonek: 8.50

Lasse Bjerre: 8.30

Hugh Skidmore: 6.84

Cameron Heeps: 5.87

Jonas Anderson: 5.60

Dimitri Berge: 4.14

Zac Wajknecht: 3.00

Total: 42,25

1. Won't happen

2. Yes

3. Yes

4. Didn't he just sign for Ipswich?

5. Yes

6. Maybe

7. Doubt it

Good team though :)

Where is Kus going?

So Havelock is ok with loaning Bjerre for a second season, but wont loan one of his assets ? Double standards springs to mind.

Done the same last season he is happy enough to get rider's from other clubs on loan but is unwilling to return the same compliment.

Digs his heels in and insists on a sale or nothing.

I appreciate Havelock is only looking out for Redcar’s best interests and more power to him, that being said, the idea other clubs offer mega bucks just seems to be the default setting when a rider doesn’t sign for Redcar.

That press release is a cookie cutter template that has been used for a few seasons now (before Glasgow had the level of investment they seemingly do now) so it evidently isnt just Glasgow who are now offering what Havelock sees as mega cash, there is every chance Kus or Jorgensen could go to another club for money that club feel is within their budget, but Havelock evidently doesn’t think is within his. That doesn’t mean either side is wrong, or the riders deserve what, while possibly not intentional, comes across as a bit of a burrying in the press.

If a rider has agreed a deal, or even shaken on it, then he has some right to be aggrieved. There is also the situation where every year, richer clubs can afford the best prospects and the league becomes rather predictable (as indeed it has).

Its probably better to say nothing till the riders are signed.thats just the standard reply from most clubs when riders supposedly let them down.

Sorry, I didn't realise there were actually rules to control what any promoter can say and when he can say it.

There is a standard courtesy between promotions not to piss on each other in public, and that is especially true when signing riders. Unfortunately there is/was a few promoters like Brian, Thomas and Drury who seem to think that to steal others thunder, makes them bigger in the eyes of others. How wrong they are and it is not forgot in future dealings.

Surely there is a standard courtesy to enquire with the owner of the riders contract before making an offer, and not disregard agreements already made. As I said before, the money thing is making the league very predictable.
