Redcar 2016

Recommended Posts

Holubs has changed because Scunthorpe have had 4 official meetings both home and away so he has established an average. Which I assume must be under 3 so they have put him on the minimum you are allowed which is 3. Redcar have only had 1 home and 2 away official meetings so a long way to go before Buckhav gets to establish his own average.

It has nothing to do with how many meetings he's had. Rule 18.6.2.1 states (or used to!): 'No rider with an assessed MA can drop below a 5.00 average during the season' - there was something in there regarding the exclusion (obviously) of riders on an assessed 3 point average but I can't be bothered to look for the exact quote as there's a bit of an important football match pending here.

Holub is not a new rider this season, he was signed last season, the rule applies to this st

I understand that , its the way they have changed it from last season inserting the word new to the rule with Scunthorpe's Rob Godfrey having a vested interest with 2 of his riders who will get an unfair advantage over other assessed riders . Shrewd move by the shark

I must assume then, that other promoters are not very shrewd.

IMO until Holub got a proper average he should still be classed as a new rider, and in this case should now have a 5pt average.

Which will be 5 regardless of his prospective minus 3 average he will achieve

if he started this season as a new rider then he cant drop, he started last year as did lyager, if he comes back then he will get a true average, as stated the rule was changed at the start of the season. the teams who have an assessed rider who came in new this season will benefit next season if the riders sign again for the club

And perhaps you can tell us which team will it benefit most this season.

If Holob`s average was never going to drop below five, I wonder if he would've been signed by Scunthorpe for this season, or maybe he would've done better than he has so far.

Rob G more-or-less said Wilko was going back to reserve on centre green during Scunny vs Plymouth meeting. We thought Holub would end up on a 5.00.

Holub rode well at Ippo, had a bike too powerful for the Scunny track for the first two home matches, then got taken off at Peterborough and got injured.

I don't think our team plans have altered, whether Holub is on 3.00 or 5.00.

All the best

Rob
