SCB
Just waiting for SCB to start pleading his case for the poor unfortunate under 35's. My heart bleeds for them. And as I keep pointing out, OAPs got the reduction because there was a time they had the lowest disposable income of all sections of society, thats is no longer true. It's now the case that under 35 have the lowest disposable income. You know, the group that has to pay for historically high housing, can't afford to buy so end up stuck renting meaning they'll continue to have less disposable income as they grow older as they won't have been able to buy houses which historically young people did so they saw their housing costs get lower (relative to earnings) as they got older. But don't let the facts get in the way, stevebrum and starman have spoken Don't believe me, google "disposable income by age" and see what you find. What about this article? http://www.ft.com/cms/s/0/a2f9471e-1f6e-11e2-b273-00144feabdc0.html#axzz3tkvx7IxJ or this article? http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2966649/Rise-rich-pensioner-65s-better-population-young-people-incomes-tumble.html another one.... http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/saving/article-3087961/Despite-having-far-lower-monthly-disposable-income-30s-save-larger-chunk-money-else.html C'mon steve/stary, justify your opinions! In fact if you continue to chase my posts i will report you. you have reported me before as its quite clear you are a coward of a person. try looking up the definition of troll as well!! oh and if you report me i will be quite happy to draw the mods attention to the horse racing thread where you told people to play with the traffic and called everyone morons and clowns. oh and then when it was proved you were wrong you ran and hid and then came back on saying you had nothing to apologise for. SteveLyric2
Coventry have dropped the prices for every age group apart from OAPs who have an increase. To be fair, Coventry charging £18 in the first place was taking the proverbial!!!

Someone had to pay for a team that were top of the league for most of the season. Hans Andersen wouldn't have been paid peanuts either, even though that's all he deserved. How much is it at Poole then? ......Starman2006......See, cannot help yourself can you its like a magnet to you isn't it.. If you'd just answered the question you were asked in the first place we wouldn't be continually going round in circles....again. Woz01
To be honest I would not be so sure about the amount of disposable income continuing to rise for pensioners.............I know that my mother does not have the disposable income she had a year ago........it is substantially less.............and I know a lot of older people who are feeling the pinch due to non existent interest rates and other reasons............. On the other hand I agree to a point about the difference in costs between what we as adults pay against what pensioners pay to get in..........a couple of quid yes............ The other thing is that now that students are being forced to stay in education until they are 18 is there going to be a reduction for them instead of cutting off at 16.................should they and pensioners pay the same rate............ Just a thought............ RP Its from the the Office of National Statistics (ONS) a government organisations. Obviously different people have different circumstances but this is based on all OAPs. There disposable income is increasing year on year since 1977 while working people have had stagnation during some year so its now closer than ever and it'll get closer. To be fair, Coventry charging £18 in the first place was taking the proverbial!!! We wasn't the only club and other have increased to that this year. Cant say much when Poole charged £7 for 11-15 year old and £4 for 5-10 year olds. Thats extortionate.

This is one point where the poor pensioner arguement falls down - low interest rates. You hear that their income is down from a few thousand to a few hundred on their savings. Work it out and you realise how silly the 'poor' arguement is. If its £4000 @4% down to £500 @0.5% then that poor pensioner has £100,000 tucked away!!
