Poole 2016

Recommended Posts

Great news for Kyle. I mean, the lack of ambition coming from him must have meant a lot of arm twisting by Pila for him to get off his ass and bother to say yes.

Thanks for the heads up on tomorrow. I was going along to this.

Kyle rode in Poland last year he had some meetings for Gniezno in LIGE 1.

Jack will be ready in 2017 if he shows the same improvement from 2015 in 2016 & you think he'll go anywhere else. I have no proof at all but surely it will happen?.

Doyley is back at Swindon for 3 reasons, Rosco & him made up, Leicester never brought him & the fact that he didn't want to ride for a Saturday club.

As for Chris has he ever said he'd ride for another team if Poole didn't want him in the past?.

The answer is YES so why you get so uppity about it is very strange.

I've never heard him or seen a quote from him saying that. However, he has countlessly (again very recently) stated he would only ride for Poole in the UK.

As for Darcy, he only joined Swindon mid-season to get himself back on a bike ASAP as Poole didn't want to break-up what turned out to be the EL winning team. That is it. I can also guarantee that he would be with us in 2016 if he hadn't of had his devastating accident. (Stay strong #43).

But Ford revealed that the Ringwood-based star had been frustrated by his year on the sidelines and was desperate to make his Pirates return.

Ford told the Daily Echo: “Once the situation surrounding his work permit was resolved, it was a five-minute conversation to get the deal done.

“I think Chris would have represented someone else had the opportunity not been there to line up for Poole. He did miss British speedway last season.

“After taking on a much smaller contract in Denmark, he got injured and began to question his decision. He felt he might as well be riding in the UK. He made that quite clear to me as early as August.

“We are delighted to have him back. It would have been very difficult to have seen him go somewhere else so it was a great feeling to get it sorted.”

Just to be pedantic, this is NOT a quote from Chris himself is it?

The monthly quiz was due to be an electronic TV game show style quiz. Unfortunately our presenter Nigel - who runs MMX Events - has been having hospital treatment and was unable to host it. Get well soon Nigel.

As for the 'who said what' debate over Chris Holder, I thought it was well known that if Darcy had escaped his ban, then Poole would have gone with Darcy and Magic, which would have meant Chris having to consider another club if he chose to race in the EL.

However, the debate actually started over whether Chris himself said that he would only ever ride for Poole.

The Echo article in December 2014, referred by GAME ON, actually quotes Matt Ford not Chris, so technically Starman has been correct in saying that he has not seen or read Chris saying he would only ride for Poole!! :D:shock:

It wasn't a quote from Chris himself but a quote from Matt Ford saying what Chris had told him!

just logged in and browsed through last nites postings and i have to say "starman"is an embarrassment to poole speedway, fellow poole supporters, and himself, and just hope he can take a more balanced and thoughtful approach to the many issues which will probably arise during the coming season.like another poole poster put yesterday i hope we win the league but if we dont its not the end of the world

Unfortunately I have said the same on here for quite a while. I myself am a very passionate Poole supporter, however I can see the bigger picture and do not condone many of our promotions antics. If only Starman would drop his blue stained guard a little and stop kissing Matt Ford's butt, maybe, just MAYBE his posts might be taken a little more seriously and the daily pastings would at least ease up..

Then again, pigs might fly too!

I could tell you that 'so and so' said anything, it doesn't prove they actually did. Matt Ford has made a lot of questionable quotes in various places for years, so why should this be considered differently?

Chris has stated countless times he only wants to ride for Poole and that is good enough for me.

We all know that Chris would always prefer to ride for Poole, it doesn't mean he would never ride for someone else, can't believe you are defending Starman!!

There was definitely an article where Chris said if Poole didn't use him he'd go elsewhere as he needed to ride in EL after his year out (or something similar).

Plus Starman is never right! ;)

yes its in the bournmouth echo.... those that said holder will only ride for poole are wrong

As stated the article only says MF thinks he would ride for someone else in the UK NOT that he definitely would ride................and that did not come from Chris himself who has stated many times he has no interest in racing for any other team in the UK.................what part of that do you not understand

So no we are not wrong it is your misinterpretation of the facts...............nothing new there where you and Poole are concerned.............

Just to be clear, there is no post anywhere on this thread or that says Kyle has no ambition. In a discussion about Jason Garritty it was stated that Garritty has ambition and the blue tints brigade (led by you ) were so offended that credit should be given to a Coventry rider they all started harummphing about Newman who was not the subject of that particular discussion.

Yes, but the post acknowledged Garrity's ambition whilst not crediting Kyle with that ambition. Rather a one sided comment. Kyle rides on the continent some weeks during the season, but it just doesn't get generally commented on. Of the two, IMO Kyle has shown more ambition than Garrity so far.

Give it up man, it was a quote by MF not Holder so stop banging your drum. Holder himself (to the best of my knowledge) has never publicly stated he would ride anywhere other than Poole. What MF says or doesn't say is irrelevant.

Oh i can take my blue tints off C4G if theres something worth taking the specs off for, and thank you for sort of backing me up. But i wouldn't give the majority, on here the time of day to be honest. You are right though, pigs might fly. :nono:

He and many others will not stop banging the drum, they are looking for bites thats as good as they are, but sadly they are using the wrong bait.. ;)
