Poole 2016

Recommended Posts

Thankfully for us (EL fans) Chris seems happy enough to race here and that's great news.

Poole at least get one thing right and that's getting good deals and sponsorship for their riders and probably a big reason why Chris, Darcy and Magic were happy enough here.

We have a lot of very good loyal sponsors at Poole, and all our riders get good backing and support..

Nice article on/by Martin Vaculik in the SS this week. Has a great friendship with Matt Ford and loves the Bournemouth area.

Not interested in a full EL season because of all the travelling and staying in hotels. Could be interested in a short-term (March/April) contract?!

Something for some to chew on........

Pete was such a nice guy. First met him at Weymouth.

He knew speedway inside out and loved the sport.

No doubt he will now be talking speedway with a long time Weymouth friend Lew Coffin. We were so lucky to have such men dedicated to our sport.

PIP Pete.

Just seen the shocking news about Pete Ansell's passing. Pete had continued to be a regular part of the Poole admin team and was often the first face to be seen when the gates were opened on match days in the main grandstand up until May when his illness took a stronger hold.

My deepest sympathies go to wife Roz, his 2 sons and families.

Yep very sad indeed mate, without Pete in 85 Poole speedway may not have gone on again at Poole. He was a wonderful asset to the club and a superb help to Matt and Giles.

Speedway has lost a priceless member of the sport.
