Poole 2016

Recommended Posts

Are we all not entitled to a opinion then? is it not aloud.Even Rosco has made errors over the years even some of the Robins fans at the start of the year have questioned this years Robins line up.

Of course you are, it's just that your anti Ellis bias shines through on numerous posts, then you add the Poole angle to it as well.

Haters gonna hate

You odviously don't read all the posts then because i have said i like Adam he has made real progress. If anything SOME Poole fans are Bias and have this everyone hates us notion and are in there little blue bubble.Hope Ellis goes on and improves again if you have a opinion against something does not mean you hate something or someone does it.?

Not sure why Bates is even being discussed on a Poole thread?!

When the odious, potty-mouthed, selfie toerag grows up a bit then he may earn some respect for being British U.21 champ.

For a professional attitude in his racing and off-track approach, Ellis is way out in front - but its only my opinion. ;-)

It seems to have crept into some threads recently. It's a pathetic response to someone who happens to have a different opinion. If you disagree with a post then put forward a resoned argument why, not a response more suited to a junior school playground.

Not a Bates fan then? I wasn't sure.

Josh Bates or Adam Ellis? Lets hope both have improved so they can be included next year.

I have spoken to Adam on a few ocassions this year and find him to be a very friendly and approachable guy who is happy to chat if the time is right. Clearly he loves the sport and is having the time of his life. That will hold him in good stead when it comes to sponsorship in future years. He looked chuffed to bits to be included in TeamGB even though he didn't get a chance on track. That experience alone will give him a confidence boost going into the remainder of the season.

As for Bates, I have never spoken to him so can't make the same opinion Skidder has. What absolutely essential though is to be professional at all times and not come across as some type of lout. Just one look in the direction of Poland and its youngsters like Predpelski is all that is needed. Whilst it would be almost impossible to have the same sponsorship, the way he is presented can be emulated.

So if it goes by how a riders attitude was off track rather than just how they are on track, I take it even though Ward was a Huge talent on track you didn't rate him highly due to all the trouble he got himself in to off it?

I didn't say I didn't rate him. Read my post, I said he would not get my respect as Brit U21 champ until he cleaned up his act!!

My opinion of some of Darcy's (and other riders') off track stuff created a similar stance, but Darcy cleaned up his act big time before his tragic accident and since.

A reasoned post for once.

Not much between the 2 of them as riders that much is true.

Personally i thought the kudos of being the current British Under 21 champion and the highest placed Brit in the World series should have held sway and Bates should have had the nod.

Trouble is some of you see that as Poole bashing when quite clearly its just a debating point

Magnus zetterstrom is retiring at the end of the season. Had some truly wonderful and memorable times at Poole and i would think most Pirate fans hold a place in their heart for him, i certainly do and his legendary saturday night fever celebration was a really fun thing to do. A nicer guy in the sport is hard to find and always had time for his fans. i don't know if the club would consider a testimonial but i certainly feel it's something they should think about.

He has already had a Testimonial, but a farewell meeting would be great for a truly nice guy.

Cos you normally do Poole bashing!! ;)

I would have thought whoever was better at BV would get the nod. But as BV are obviously scared of riding us there it is hard to know how Ellis would do there.

Darcy saying he wants to be involved in team building. I wonder what it could like? With rules yet to be set anything like this!

Chris.H Brady.K and Jack.H I think will be signed. If there are reserves Starkey and Ellis??? And then I can see Magic coming back simply to guide the youngsters. Then even though this might leaves us a bit short on experience I would love to see Kacper.G back I think he just gives his all. This would hopefully fit in points. I'm sure Jack had been told to be bad next couple of weeks with Plymouth going nowhere. If magic says no and no other big GP rider I could see either Hans or Shamek.P coming back.

I know Hans is on two year. But Matt knows that Magic or Hans! I think as Poole fans we all know. I'm sure if Darcy is picking then all three Aussies are gonna be in the squad.

I think Matt would choose those three Aussies anyway. But yeah would be good to see Darcy have some team selection input at Poole :)

I agree Lisa. I think it's great if I actually becomes a key member. Can talent spot for us in Aus. I mean we all say what we think Poole should do. Surely , one of Poole's greatest riders ever should have say over what we do. Crazy to think that he would have been out number 1 for 4 years if not forever had he not been injured. I think in the future Poole can look back and talk about how we helped Darcy with pride.
