TesarRacing
I don't think you can argue with a lot of what Matt Ford says in the article. Other than even if you own the asset/rider you can't make the rider ride for you. Of course you will get the loan fees though.
Pirates Of Poole
Matt talks a lot of sense in the article, its not about luck getting these riders its forward planning. That is something other clubs fail to do hence why they are playing catch up all the time, riders are paid on time at Poole but certainly not the highest payers in the league. We are lucky we have great sponsors too which helps make up shortfalls in demands from the riders. Not sure what Troy was talking about on twitter over the weekend, still waiting to be paid 6 months later and a British flag?
hrhbig
Just seen Sky sports first advertised fixture for this year Belle Vue v Poole on the 30th March. That does not appear to be the date on the fixture list, and its a Wednesday, I wonder how many more will be changed.

This is the 15th April fixture brought forward - still subject to confirmation apparantly - but if Sky have announced it then assume its correct?! Â Probably Sky getting used to Wednesday night speedway for next season!!

JCookie
Any idea why there's no fixture between 22/04 > 02/05? Is this likely to change? On holiday in the area during the week beginning 25/04 so annoying to have no speedway.

On holiday in the area during the week beginning 25/04 so annoying to have no speedway. We have had several gaps in the fixtures in the last few years. Unless we get a rain off early then Matt may put it in there commitments permitting, so i'd just keep an i. Things may change.

I believe the fixtures are being changed because of Poland Friday meetings.

As it posted somewhere else Steve I think it's due to the European football Finals. Poole moved their meeting with Swindon from 15th June to 1st June to avoid conflict with the great attraction of Albania v France.
