stevebrum
Clearly not as good as he was ten years ago but still very decent. Watched his televised meeting in Poland last week and he was very good. For a rider who has maintained his place in all leagues it shows his professionalism in the sport. Has a 6.55 average in a tougher league so capable of that easily enough and a rider who can beat the best. I had a good chortle at your post stevebrum. First sentence ridiculing the signing and saying it is a backward step as he is in decline. Then in the next sentence you say he can't be as bad as Watt so its a win. Lol! Â Only commenting on his form in the UK so it's irrelevant really what he is scoring abroad. Certainly didn't ridicule the signing just stating the obvious. Of course it's a win win for Poole. Watt has been dire so even if Bjarne scores as poor as he did for Leicester and brum he will probably still be scoring more than Watt at present. So yes, win win. Davey has had reasons to be dire, he needs a break from the sport, Bjarne is an able replacement, and will score us points, but it wouldn't be fair for Davey himself to carry on when he's not in the right frame of mind, therefore he's done the right thing. Rosco isn't that daft. Desperate people do desperate things... Daveys a good rider and a decent bloke, but his head is just not in the right place at the moment.. Â I'm certainly not dissing Davey, it seems clear he has issues right. Have always had fair respect for him. When he has guested for Wolves he has given a 110%. I wish the bloke well. You could basically replace Davey with anyone at the moment and it would be a better choice. Plus you are using an asset - I see no issue whatsoever.

EnglishRoundabout
Pedersen's inclusion will increase the chances of Poole hitting the 70 point mark at Wimbourne Road.
Daniel Smith
Question. When Poole lift the title again, will that be a new British record for the top league to win 4 titles on the bounce?

He hasn't ridden over here so far this year, so you can only go on his scores aboard. Hans Andersen's 2015 and 2016 form is completely different, for example
foreverblue
Terrible signing, still at least I have someone to boo on Wednesday nights again!!!! Typical positive remark! Bjarne is a Poole legend and will do a good job.

Plenty of riders have had superb seasons abroad and been mediocre here over the past few seasons. Woffy anyone in 2014? My work is done. The Voice Of Reason
To be quite honest, barring injuries, it's crystal clear that Poole have already won the 2016 title - and it isn't even May. Â This really isn't jealousy because, hand on heart, my primary enjoyment has always been watching a good, close meeting. Of course I always want my team to win - but if it meant watching complete and utter walk-overs week in week out; and a continual procession of 5-1's, I'd truly deem it boredom personified. Â So congratulations Poole on retaining the 2016 title. Â In this pathetic, pointless Elite League, you are truly welcome to it. In fact, nobody deserves it more. RobMcCaffery
If it is within the rules that Poole can sign Pedersen and have four heat-leaders when many struggling to find one or two then there's something wrong with those rules. Â Not jealousy - I haven't had an EL team to support since the demise of Hackney and later Cradley at that level - just despair at how the EL is self-destructing. Pirates Of Poole
Bjarne is a good signing for Poole and does strengthen us slightly, lets face it he is easily going to score more than Davey! He knows all the tracks big and small so should be solid, maybe if It was me I would have tried Shamek again but more than happy with Bjarne. This also proves all the other Pirates should be watching their back as Matt isn't scared to make changes if required, something other clubs seem to be very slow at doing.
