Woz01
Other way round wasn't it? Would have said Dak was the heatleader. From looking at it Watt rode 11 of 23 EL meetings as a heatleader. He was injured for a few with Josh G replacing him. Remember Holder and North went to 2nd string too during the season and Watt average is 1.2 better than North's. E I Addio
Daveys average will make him a heat leader but his average was achieved more as a second string than a heat leader. I'd make him a second string personally. Rory is a heat leader too. Now Kylmakorpi is a damn hard one - probably a heat leader if pushed. You have to base it on the number of meeting they rode as a heat leader to get their average really. Or you use my figures on the other thread! I was using Davey, Rory and Kylmo as examples rather than specifics,to just make the point. I think there will inevitably be controversy and argument about those who just scrape in the list and those who are left just outside it. It will ble interesting to know what criteria they use or formula they use. If it's kept secret there will inevitably be cries of foul. SCB
Didnt Watt ride nearly half his meetings as heatleader? He missed a few meetings injured when a 2nd string. When I glanced at a few riders effect by it, Davey appeared to have ridden more of his 20 meetings as a second string than a reserve. For me thats got to be the deciding factor. I'd say anyone with 11 or more meeting as a heat leader is a heat leader. But I'd not call them heat leaders. I'd call them tier 1 riders. You cna only sign 3 tier 1 riders (is riders who rode 50% of their meeting as a heat leader) but they can start 2016 as second strings. So Zengota and Summers would be tier twos, Lindgren, Hans and Bjerre wold be tier 1s but Zengi, Summers and Hans would start as heat leaders due to average. Oh grow up and stop being so negative................. If your aim in life is to criticise everything I say and p*ss me off so I will be quiet then I am afraid you will fail miserably.............. RP TBF, you come on here making some very naive statements. It puts you on a par with most other speedway promoters who are made fools of by Ford (I don't blame Matt or Poole speedway for this btw)
DunRobin
Here we go again.....................Poole manipulating the rules according to some................not so............. All promoters have the same rules and the same opportunities...........its just some use them to their best advantage and get what they want while others sit back and expect the world to come to them............ If other promoters had the business acumen of Matt Ford the sport would be a lot better off...........at least he tries to bring the sport forward rather than living in the past............... RP Don't you mean "its just some abuse them to their best advantage". I wonder when Hans made a verbal agreement to sign for Poole?
scottyfan
I would imagine Cameron Woodward will have to be added to the heat leader list too as I'm sure he'll want to return in 2016.

heathen chemistry
i can quite easily imagine how ford seems to have influence over the other promoters.....(remember poole have a fair few riders on there books most loaned out) also its said he has control of peterboroughs riders aswell now...! i would envisage firstly he puts together a package of proposals to the commitee he then reminds them how he has let other clubs loan his riders and still does and how much weaker the league would be without him doing so... he then goes round to the clubs likely to want to loan riders from him maybe with offers of free loan if.........(scratch my back....) majority then vote his way..... BWitcher
The least they need to do is vote against using PL averages for FTRs ...... Ah, yes, that makes more sense. i can quite easily imagine how ford seems to have influence over the other promoters.....(remember poole have a fair few riders on there books most loaned out) also its said he has control of peterboroughs riders aswell now...! i would envisage firstly he puts together a package of proposals to the commitee he then reminds them how he has let other clubs loan his riders and still does and how much weaker the league would be without him doing so... he then goes round to the clubs likely to want to loan riders from him maybe with offers of free loan if.........(scratch my back....) majority then vote his way..... No, its far cleverer than that. The proposals are rarely, if ever put forward by Ford or Poole. It's more a case of drop a little suggestion to a team here of an idea.. suggest to another how an idea may benefit them there etc.. Sadly the gullible fools fall for it every time! B.V 72
http://tinyurl.com/ocn8me2 Rosco seems to think Hans will be a heat leader Have i read this right Rosco in this article says that all the FTRiders are averaged out does this mean that the 2nd tier will be as well instead of an automatic 3 point average.Much fairer if this is the case as teams will have to pick a tier 2 rider that fits into there teams combined average total and not 1st pick gets the best.eg Starke 3.60 Clegg 2.30. Do you write children's fiction? You make a lot of supposition about what you think Matt Ford has done, thinks, says, proposes and so forth with nothing, outside of your mind, to substantiate it. Not necessarily. Woodward has an existing EL average from 2014, 6.32. Also, between May and September he rode as a second string so some allowance may be made.
