Recommended Posts

enjoyable meeting once again and very good crowd. :t:

great fightback by the Panthers love watching Grondal and Thomsen..

Not sure what happened to Barker in heat 15 was he fenced or did he shed a chain? :o

fingers crossed for the return leg... we need our reserves to get amongst the points big time !

In which case it might be more appropriate on a Glasgow thread!

Especially when some people get easily confused. Glad it's not Peterborough anyway.

Me neither. Looked like he got fenced and wasn't very happy but without seeing a video clip it's hard to tell. Shame though as Peterborough could have done with those points to take up to Edinburgh.

Edinburgh have one steel shoe in the final , and we have the daunting prospect of Somerset at the weekend . But the dream of an all Scottish title decider is still alive .

Sincerly hope Tigers can dispose of Rebels.Big ask though,Lawson has to perform IMO.

They all have to , but yes Lawson is very up and down away from home . Hopefully he performs better than he did at the Pairs and in the League meeting there in July .

Hes as bad as the Plymouth guest at Glasgow today Kenneth Hansen

no, no ones as bad as Kenneth on his travels. but he sure does make up for it at workington. amazing to watch at wucky. check out his home scores. where as rafa is consistent home and away.

saying that he could still be a good 3 pointer next season for somebody.

Do you have tungate at 1 for the away leg? On his 2 visits this season. 9 from 6 rides and 4 from 4 rides.

If he's got a stormer in him then it'll have to be Friday. But looking at yesterday we're stuffed.

Barker shed a chain in heat 15. Shame, as he looked as if he was going round the Monarch's pair just before it happened.

but his mechanic started the bike on track and returned to the pits on it

I thought his mechanic pushed it back across the centre green, also the bike ridden back to the pits was Thomsen's

There was certainly enough sparks from Barkers bike to suggest the chain had come adrift

cookie was coming hard back underneath Barker when a bit of contact probably caused the chain failure, simple racing incident so no decision to be made. Shame as it spoiled what could have been a cracker of a race but talk of a panthers 5-1 was very premature. Would have liked to seen cookie with fresh air to chase down anders but a 3-3 was fine for us and would have snapped your hand off for a point defeat before the start with Kevin missing and Sam struggling.

Been confirmed tonight that Kevin will be back on Friday so Edinburgh should have enough to win this but can take nothing for granted as Somerset showed last week.

ahh ok, I know a bike was started and ridden back

my pictures from the meeting here >> https://www.flickr.com/photos/the_womble/albums/72157659450936426

Cracking pictures Steve and I like the way you managed to get your name on the front of the Bradshaw Rentals conveyance that Cookie is driving...

So good to see Lewis Kerr back on a bike and at the Showground. It must have done him the world of good to have a lap round there after the events in early August.

was a shame cos it looked like we were going to be on a 5-1..

Nice pics mate! :t:

it was a snapped chain !!! your eyes must be playing you up in your old age if you never see the sparks flying from barkers bike
