Rebel1
It was a right crap hole of a track Think maybe you and a few others fail to remember that it is still early days for the track and yes maybe in the haste of creating it some things were overlooked which have created the poor state of the track. Base being flat and not permitting banking to the boards. Towards the end of this season it was bedding down better and when track grading during racing went ahead (Len not being in attendance) the racing was of a good standard. The lack of overtaking is something else; Mark Owen a couple of seasons past found a line to the back straight off bend two which drove him past the opposition. This line has subsequently been exploited by others (though infrequently). Notwithstanding this racing to the line has seen riders being passed at the chequered flag. Does this not provide what the punters look for? I walk the track weekly and have done so since day one so I know what issues exist. More shale is required, though the uncertainty of planning does not engender large expenditure for an uncertain future. I think we should be thankful for the wonderful facility and be accepting of the limitations placed against the promotion in these early days of this venture. What do you expect if you have an old dinosaur like Mr Silver there? Things will not progress at the Club until he goes. Club finished BOTTOM of the League this year. I do not go anymore and will not return until he goes. Says a lot but the riders should be supported, not their fault that the promotor failed to find 3 pointers who would improve their averages

Steve0
Didn't the bikes crash into the tractor? I remember Mark Thorpe had a close escape with a tractor at Blunsdon - very lucky!
