SCB
How odd is it that the PL currently has a bit of a lull. Very few meetings happening, all gone a bit quiet. Yet you just know in 3-4 weeks time there going to be a panic to squeeze in the last few meetings. Why is speedway so incapable of fitting in fixture properly? damosuzuki
No idea but they really need a long hard look after this year. QF playoffs in OCTOBER when there is no need for it.
KIRKYLANE
leaving vacant dates for potential rain offs to be slotted in was a complete nonsense. how many times was it a beautiful day with no match and no teams available to fit a league Match in. Put al the league fixtures in within the minimum time scale. And deal with rain offs as they occur.
Ben91
Just give the title to the team that finishes top, then there's no rush to fit in play-off fixtures. Or is that thinking too radical?

Or is that thinking too radical? But doesn't that mean there will be more nothing meetings towards the end of the season, at least the play-offs keep the interest going for longer for most clubs, though you are right, there does seem to always be a rush to get fixtures done in time where clubs race on off nights meaning almost certain financial losses. The Third Man
Easy In March give us the cut off points for the fours, pairs and PLRC say all league matches have to be concluded by the end of the first week in September next two weeks play off QF next two weeks play odd SF next two weeks final do the same for the round of the cup and league cup all teams and supporters know whats happening, if you don't fulfil your fixtures you are out how radical would be that be however as this is speedway that will be far too hard to organise

There's no simple solution granted, however the financial losses for cancelling/not running a nothing meeting must be less than those for cramming in play off fixtures on off race nights in the last knockings of October?
