Newcastle 2016

Recommended Posts

Anton is not riding in Uk this year.

Has already been over in December and taken all his gear back to Sweden.

Well, we can't complain if he gave it until December. Perhaps a break from UK will work well for him and he can perhaps return as a rejuvenated asset in the future. Anton would have been a credible plan B if perhaps not universally popular given the 'waste of team building points' (I would have been happy to give the lad one last chance mind especially given how strong the team looks overall...) - so who exactly could be a plan B? Our does Mr Havelock now have us over a barrel?

So if, as seems likely, this goes to arbitration what if anything will the bspa take into account when they determine the final transfer fee

I'd guess (and hope), take into account what Redcar have asked for and what Newcastle have offered and come to a fair compromise.

I hope they take into account how rubbish Matty is at Brough,,, and 'for speedways sake', don't let us be throwing money away, speedway can't afford that sort of behaviour :(

You mean that stuff that was invented by the Chinese, mind the Haggis is French/Spanish, the bagpipes come from Pakistan.:party:

Invention is only one part of an products evolution. It has to be perfected, and that needs a 'tartan accent' IMHO.

Average, future potential, age and parity with similar riders valuation. Ludde's price could be used for parity.

But if both parties agree to arbitration, they have to stick to the verdict.

Matej Kus can start racing for Newcastle right away, before the court sits, but when it does -- and rules on a fee -- the Diamonds must then pay that amount.

No good then saying "no, that's too much". Or indeed, Redcar saying "no, that's not enough".....

I'd hope that if both teams agree to go to arbitration, they will both know the rules regards the ruling.

In this sport, just 'knowing the rules' isn't enough. A slide rule, spirit gauge and bend tolerance simulator are required before you even ring the rider up, never mind the finer points of averages, points money, previous affiliations and actual ability on a bike even come into consideration.

Sounds like Ludde's fee was rather less than Kus? So, yes it makes sense to try to use it! Cue my usual comments about favourite rider blasting round the bends etc...

That could be Havelock`s next trick, refuse to go to arbitration.

He doesn't have that option. After March 1st Kus can apply to the SCB for arbitration or Newcastle could do that before then with a non-refundable £300 protest fee.

Excellent, then I hope a sensible price is found for Matejs transfer to Newcastle and this saga can be put to bed.

I'm Redcar fan and me along with many other Redcar fans want rid of him, he didn't want to ride last season for us and it showed at the start of the season, he was dropping his average hoping to go back to Berwick but when they announced they may not ride in 2016, kus started scoring, not saying that's what happened but it's funny how he changed mid season, he was always fighting and arguing with team mates and was not a team man at all, never got involved and just kept himself to himself, he is a great rider on his day but clearly doesn't want to be at Redcar so havvy should just let him go
