Newcastle 2016

Well that is a challenge to the non Brough attenders. Superb top 2 signed before mid-November. Get saving guys, you are not going to want to miss young Lambert around Brough Park and your money will be needed to pay for him.

This is what you asked for so no excuses. See you in March!

It’s an excellent signing. I have never really bought into the fuss regarding his attendance/nonattendance at meetings, he typically misses meetings because of injury, or because he has been racing in international events, it’s the consequence of signing an absurdly talented rider.

I also, oddly, think it will possibly benefit him long term to enhance his reputation in the North. He is (Woffinden apart) the great hope of British Speedway and the more time and chances fans have to watch him will just endear him to them that bit more, British fans typically like the idea that the British hero is their own, whether that actually matters or not is possibly just broken biscuits, I suppose in terms of the box office he is then it does.

Well, that's a big signing in anybodies book. The club in their announcement, said the signings were going to be exciting, and of course they have delivered. No doubt the biggest signing in the PL this season. The test is now to see if it reverses the trend, and as well as getting stay away fans, to get new ones to swell the crowd. Not sure about the £110 per point if true. if it achieves what the signing was intended to do, fans will be happy to see such a signing and the chances of seeing new stars develop, whilst winning exciting meetings, should silence any doubters.

The challenge is now on to the stay away fans to return and enjoy their speedway. I certainly hope so.

3 more riders to go, and i think the key signing now will be the 3 pointer. Meetings, home and especially away, could be won from the reserve riders. I would go with Liam Carr, but I think Berwick have got him in a stranglehold and not releasing him.

Looking forward to more news shortly.

Word of warning when Lambert has Sunday meetings in Germany he will be gone there - so that's something that Diamond fans will have to get used too .

I think that will depend on the status of the meeting. If say an FIM meeting yes, but not the sort of friendlies like Germany, Austria, etc and open meetings.

I would hope so too. Our asset and probably going to be one of the stronger number 7s.

Cracking signing for Newcastle. Hope that gets your stay away fans back :approve:

Well done to the promotion, an exceptional talent for our #1 spot.

I predict Simon, Anton and Dan Greenwood for the remaining slots.
