Newcastle 2016

Worrall King Kerr Rose - looks like we're keen on an ex diamond down in Ipswich!

Happy to settle for 3 this year although 4 wouldve been better!

Reported that both Lewis's, Kerr and Rose, have signed for Ippy. Mixed feelings about both. Rose did not knock on in 2015 as most thought he would, and it will be interesting to see if he recaptures the form that he showed late 2014 season. Kerr is being quoted as 'a bit of a risk', but I don't see that. I think he will be steady in his first meetings, and will get back to the upward slope he was on before his crash. I would have welcomed him back, and i don't think it is disrespectful to not return to Brough. He has to consider everything, and missing out on a large travel on a Sunday, to ride somewhere local on a Thursday, is a no brainer really. Best of luck to both of them. I think that's most people team sheets torn up now. :P

Kerr just riding at all in 2016 is great news. Much closer to home for him will suit with a baby on the way. So Kerr goes with our best wishes for a successful resumption of his career.

I would have been happy to see Lewis Rose back, however as that's not to be, perhaps the entertaining Simon Nielsen can continue at reserve plus our mysterious 3-pointer, as Aarnio surely is good enough to ride at #4?

Lindgren - surely nailed on for a team place.

Rosen - under-achieved last season after time out injured and struggling with gating and perhaps confidence, but, good value on current average if you believe he is capable of doing better.

  1. 'An out-and-out number one'.
  2. Rosen
  3. Lindgren ©
  4. Aarnio
  5. S Worrall
  6. Simon Neilsen
  7. 'A three-pointer'

Exactly who #1 and #7 would be, would make or break that team.

This isn't a serious suggestion, I am just curious, what would Kenni Larsen's average be with all of these years away?

Isn't there like a reduction for certain years away or something?

  1. Kenneth Bjerre
  2. Anton Rosen
  3. Ludvig Lindgren ©
  4. Tero Aarnio
  5. Steve Worrall
  6. Simon Neilsen
  7. Liam Carr

Good team but there is no chance of Kenneth Bjerre signing, he has Poland and my guess is Liam Carr to Edinburgh or Berwick

Yes Kenni Larsen and Kenneth Bjerre would have been my 2 'fantasy speedway' choices for the number one spot but I suspected both were just unrealistic.

The question is, who is an out-and-out number one that the promotion could actually secure and afford?

Add said #1 onto my team list there and maybe that team will do well enough to get the necessary 50-100 extra fans through the turnstiles…

On a sadder note: does anybody know whether the GRT Media DVDs will continue? i.e. were there business partners involved who could carry the business forward, or perhaps a buyer for the business?

Lindgren

Cracking team. Although I see from reading elsewhere that a lot of forum members reckon the difference in ability of the eligible 3-pointers will be a huge factor in how teams fare.
